Headed to Winona to visit my daughter at college. This was a great place to stay. Close enough to Winona to have a great visit and take in the fall colors but yet far enough out of Winona to be peaceful and quiet.

My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by this awesome 2BR apt in Fountain City. The pictures don't do it justice! Walking distance to several nice establishments in the cute little town. Thanks for a great stay!

Not the best

I'm struggling with this review. The host was very kind and proactive, the rental itself was well equipped, check-in was no problem, but that's where the positives end. Reality is that we were on street-level of Main Street, meaning endless traffic and the freight train across the street (maybe 150-feet away which runs all night) make it impossible to open the windows due to noise. We found mouse droppings in the laundry room, several types of bugs inside, as well as the rental being quite humid inside. Without a car, there is virtually nothing to do in Fountain city... there is a nice playground, about 950 meters away, with the only grocery option being the Kwik-Trip gas station across the street. Again, the hosts were great, but the property and location are a bit rough.

Quick funeral trip

Had a little trouble getting into rental as I was not familiar with the stealth keyless entry keypad. Quick response from host and we were in! Comfortable accommodation! Tastefully decorated. Train and traffic took a little getting used to, but beds were comfy. My Mom slept "like a rock."
