Welcome to the log house ! We know you won't want to leave!

Just remember Young is a small town. The two major routes into town will require travel on maintained gravel forest roads. Suitable for any car (depending on weather conditions) but you do have dirt and gravel . From Payson: Hwy 260 east, past Woods Canyon Lake to the Young Road (Forest Road 512). Then south about 25 miles to Young. About 13.5 miles of this will be a gravel road, the rest paved.

The route up from Globe by way of I'm Roosevelt Lake is about the same but maybe a little more narrow road and more curves with blind spots but WOW what a view! Highway 188 north from Globe, then turn on Highway 288 before reaching the lake. Highway 288 will take you right into Young. The route up from Globe also requires travel on about the same amount of gravel road as the route from Payson.

Nice Cabin
The cabin was clean and spacious. We loved the large wood countertop and the nice view of the nearby mountains. The main bedroom is upstairs and there is a little walkout patio near the bed. The town is very quiet and although it rained a bit we were able to explore the area.
