Great area for accommodation it was around 20 mins to walk locally to Harvard sq and ther train. The cat was really cute, no animal smells. The bedding and towels were clean but overall needed a good scrub It needed a good vacuum and dust and the bathroom was nicely decorated but also needed a good clean which i tried to do a little without being insulting. It was also low in toilet roll, and the bin was full.We stayed for 2 nights and i was honestly relieved to leave. I feel next time i should definitely just spend extra on accommodation i feel bad giving someone a bad review but it would be perfect with a freshen up of paint and a good scrub. The owner was also really nice.

1. We arrived a little earlier, at 2 pm, as we drove 5 hours; as per Expedia, it showed me check-in at 3 pm, but Vrbo showed up at 4 pm. I asked Camar if I could grab lunch and check in early at 3 pm because that is what the trip itinerary showed me. He said no and that he was cleaning and to come at 4 pm. That’s understandable, but we had to roam for 2 hours in cold weather. The room was on the third floor; we found it a bit difficult walking up the stairs with all our bags and luggage (especially with all the photo frames by the wall). It is a small attic room with a single light. The window had no curtain to it. 2. The wash basin in the bathroom had no water flow. When we asked him - he said there’s a water problem and use the kitchen sink. We found it EXTREMELY weird to brush our teeth at the kitchen sink with vessels and utensils in it. That was not cool at all. Also, there is no drinking water. The least Camar could do was at least communicate properly. 3. We chose this place considering it has parking as one of the amenities - when we arrived, we asked him about it. He wasn't helpful with parking instructions. Cars absolutely need a parking permit, or else they get towed. We were worried about that and kept asking him how we deal with this cause we didn't have a parking permit. After a couple of minutes, he said he might have one and gave it to us, but we had to return it the next day. Overall, I think Camar can do better with communication & services.

As advertised
Camar accurately describes the property and space. It's a 3rd floor bedroom with bed, desk and TV. The kitchen and bathroom are shared with Camar on the 2nd floor. The house is definitely a 1920s-1940s vintage norteastern US home, so expect as much.. the stairs are narrow and steep, the kitchen and bathroom aren't huge, but for the age of the structure, it's all in good shape. The house is kept as clean as possible given it's age. There is a cat, and she's older, so if you're allergic, stay away. Otherwise, she might come upstairs and say hi. Camar is a friendly and chill host and as accommodating as can be... but do understand you'll be living in the space together, so you might have to wait for the stove or shower. This was never an issue for me personally. Wifi works well as did the TV. The house is in a residential neighborhood, and it's a bit of a ways from a grocery store or "things to do" if you're walking. Very short drives though. I stayed for 18 days and used Blue Bike rentals. The nearest blue bike stations are a bit of a walk but not unreasonable, even in winter. For an affordable stay in Cambridge, this place is a great option and I would recommend it.
