I am semi retired and move between Queenstown and Sydney, where my family live. I love scenery and gardens and find Queenstown an ideal place to enjoy with family and friends.
Adelle purchased this House in 2000
Why Adelle chose Queenstown
We fell in love with Queenstown after staying just one night in 1968. We love the location and after all this time, it is still beautiful. We have been able to share this with our family and friends and now open it to select guests.
What makes this House unique
Our Home is on the Queenstown Hill above the town where you can relax inside or outside on one of the numerous decks and enjoy the views and scenery. Our Home has it all...luxury, comfort, views, privacy. We have modified our Home to make it comfortable and cosy and it is a pleasure to be in, regardless of the season.

The house was clean and comfortable and the views were just amazing.
We had a wonderful 3 nights stay at Adelle’s house. We highly recommend it. The view from the living room/dining room is heavenly. If you want to relax and chill with family and friends, this is the place to stay. We didn’t mind the walk down to town (around 20 minutes) and we just take Uber coming home in the evening as we are all tired from the days activities. We hope to be back again in Queenstown and Adelle’s house. Btw, communicating with Adelle and Liz was great too.

Fantastic property, couldn't fault anything at all. The location and views are just sensational. I would highly recommend this property to all and the car for hire was a great bonus. Can't wait until next year for another stay!
Spectacular home with spectacular views!
Every word describing this house by the owner and what is said in the reviews are right on, if not better when you are there! The house is well laid out for friends and family sharing, very comfortable, stylishly decorated with wonderful appointments from the owner's travels, with beautiful gardens and spectacular views all around, day and night! We greatly appreciated the "honor system" for supplies that were there and knowing our arrival time, having the refrigerator stocked with breakfast, was a very nice touch and greatly appreciated. It was difficult to want to leave and go into Queenstown or sightseeing, but we did find the walk downhill invigorating...cabbed it home as many have said they did! The convenience to town for restaurants, pubs, live music, sightseeing tours, basically all activities you would want, was excellent and made it that much more fun to visit. The owner as well as Julia, who greeted us upon arrival, made the rental experience easy and very simple! We also rented the car which served us very well and again, made the whole travel experience such a pleasure. We would highly recommend this home and hope to return ourselves at some point!
Our photos can't capture the full impact of the views we have, the way we have been able to maintain privacy with our garden separating us from neighbours, and the comfort in our home. There is an exclamation of "wow" whenever you enter...regardless of time of day or season.
This place has an unbelievable view! It is also is a beautiful home. We would love to stay there during our next visit to Queenstown.
We have many guests who return to our Home, especially to appreciate Queenstown in other seasons.
Great place to stay in Queenstown
We stayed here in January. It was terrific. The views are amazing and there are numerous places from which to enjoy it. While close to town, there is quite an elevation gain from town to the house - so it is not an easy walk.
Check in was fine as someone met us and walked through the house.
I would return.
