We enjoyed every minute we spent at this unique and historic property. The host was super responsive and the home was spacious and beautifully decorated. We would go back in a heartbeat!
This house had it all! Location! Views! Sunsets every night! Cape cod experience like no other! Was centrally located and walking distance to cute bakery for coffee and muffins each morning and the beach was just steps away. Tennis/paddle board also steps away. The decor in the home was just beautiful and the two bedrooms were on either side of the house allowing for privacy. We went to Cape Cod for my fathers funeral and my mother stayed in this house for the week with us. She couldn’t stop smiling all week. We had not seen her smile in 3 yrs since my fathers cancer diagnosis and subsequent death. Don’t let the train or the road scare you - there is virtually zero traffic at night and the train was just such a cool experience - only saw it once all week and was during daylight hours and lasted less than 10 minutes. We loved it! This house is also 1.4 miles from the cape cod canal trail which was so incredibly fun to walk. Highly recommend this vacation house to anyone looking for a cape cod experience like no other!
We stayed at the train station for a week and it was perfect. Monument beach was a lovely little area. The beach was never crowded. The ability to use the tennis courts was really nice. There is a good coffee shop and ice cream shop right across the street along with a convenience store for anything you might have forgotten. The kitchen was well stocked as well if you choose to stay in and cook. We would definitely stay agsin!
We grilled hot dogs on the porch, watched the ocean go through hundreds of color changes, and totally enjoyed the passing trains! We love it there.

Why they chose this property
This historic train station was rebuilt in 1901 after a fire destroyed the original station. The train transported commuter to the beaches along Cape Cod and was used by President Grover Cleveland who live in Gray Gables on Cape Cod.
What makes this property unique
The train station is now a private residence on the beach. Although the station is no longer used for commuters, you can still see the Cape Cod dinner train pass by the station.
