Your whole group will be comfortable in this spacious and unique setting. You will be staying in the main house and have full access to the grounds. We offer a 5 star gourmet kitchen and many luxury amenities. The pool is completely private and screened from the winery by shrubs. You will enjoy complete privacy.

Located just 8 minutes from I95 and Kings Dominion! The property is located just 30 mins from Richmond and 30 mins from Fredericksburg. The property was a civil war camp ground and the North Anna Battlefield Park is just 5 mins away with hiking trails and history! The town of Ashland is just 15 mins away and offers dining, shopping, and so much more.

Great getaway

Stayed at the property with 3 families, including 6 adults and 3 kids. It was perfect. Plenty of space indoor and outdoor. Kitchen was very well stocked with supplies plus an outdoor. grill. The property is clean and well maintained (and stocked with some toiletries as well). We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Peace on Earth

Beautiful property off the beaten path. Little too chilly for the pool but we did use the jacuzzi. Extremely clean. Looking forward to visiting again!

Family Vacation

House was amazing. We have a family of 8. 6 kids 14,13,12,11,11 and 5. Everyone had plenty of space. Pool was nice. Grill was convenient to cook on. Especially since we were there for the 4th of July. Beautiful winery right on property. Very quiet and off the beating path of Doswell. We went to Kings Dominion 5 times this week. Only a 10 minute drive. Wasn’t good internet service so the kids had to adjust but they just bonded and found activities to do besides being glued to the cell phones. Beautiful, clean house.

About the host

Castle Glen Winery is owned by the Cowdrey Family. At Castle Glen, we’ve always believed that wine should be an adventure. Ours began a quarter-century ago, when a favorite pastime of ours soon became a weekly obsession. We founded our winery, or rather, it found us on our historic Doswell, Virginia estate. We planted our first vines in 2009 and began selling wine in 2015. The adventure is now yours to share. We’ve perfected various red & white wine varieties and have specialty wines, as well.

Why they chose this property

The property is located between a 128 acre farm and a 611 acre farm. The view out the front door is an open expanse of rolling fields that is part of the National Park system. You will enjoy significant privacy on days when the winery is not open. Winery guests will never come to the house so have no fear of interference. :-). There are exterior HD cameras for your protection and security, but no cameras inside the guest areas.

PLEASE NOTE - Name on the reservation must match the name the credit card used for payment. No remote check-in's are allowed. Rental agreement should be signed and returned no later than 10 days from arrival time.
