Rural retreat
The villa is set within a beautiful rural landscape, with great facilities for the children, including trampoline and football goals which the children loved and of course the swimming pool, which they were in and out of most of the time!
There is a pond next to the villa which the children loved looking in to find the terrapins and frogs - would highly recommend using the citranella coils to keep the mozzies away if you're eating outside though, as it's the only downside of having the natural pond nearby.
The kitchen is well-equipped and for a group of 10 there was plenty of space to eat together.
The main city is about 15-20 mins drive, so we were able to do lots of exploring in our rental cars, and then retreat to the house the rest of the day to relax by the pool.
The hosts were easily contactable, and welcomed us on arrival and were really helpful throughout, messaging us with information on local places to eat and visit.
The only thing we struggled with was that the air-con was only in the kitchen space and there was only one other fan so it was difficult for every one to sleep, but once we let the owners know they delivered 2 extra fans so we could put them in the bedrooms. We ended up hanging blankets over the windows, as some of the rooms had net curtains instead of curtains, which hindered what is otherwise a very restful sleep in a quiet location.
