About this property

The Layover - Getaway in Northern Wisconsin

This rustic home is on flat ground on Little Spider Lake, in the Northern Highland State Forest in northern Wisconsin. We are located ten minutes from downtown Minocqua, but tucked away from the traffic. Due to contraints of the washing machine, we do NOT offer towels as you will have to provide your own. (We do have linens for the beds)

Well-situated house for our family vacation

This house was perfect for a family vacation! It's close to downtown Minocqua, yet you feel away from it all. The lake is peaceful and very clear. The house is very spacious and has everything you need to be comfortable. We hope to come back again!

Great location

Location and accomodations are great. Recommend bringing your own drinking water. Cell reception is spotty and no Wi-Fi, which can be a positive. Would also be nice if chairs were included around the fire pit. Overall a nice getaway with family.

Great location, nice home, good fishing lake. Driveway narrow and slippery in winter was only downside of staying here in winter.

We had some reception issues with cell phones so we would’ve preferred having wifi. Other than that, it was a good time had by all.

The owners of this property are out of country most of the time so Ken Korsch, a neighbor and rental owner, has started to make this property available to people who enjoy rustic escapes while having the luxury of being less than 10 minutes from downtown Minocqua.

What makes this property unique

There is a swinging bed in the back porch. The porched is screened in on the second floor and is very large. The two lower bedrooms have doors leading to the outside.
The main area is a beautifully maintained home overlooking the lake.
