Avoid! Clean but poorly maintained & unresponsive manager. Clogged shower, no AC, thorns on floors
The property was clean and check in was very easy. The manager allowed us to check in early which was very nice. The manager didn't give me a phone number to contact them with and hasn't responded to messages on VRBO. There were a variety of problems that made this a bad rental, all of which the management should have been aware of prior to our stay. The shower in the hall bathroom was clogged and wouldn't drain. Gross black goop came out of the drain into the pooling water. At midnight the second night, the Nest thermostat battery died, so no AC and it beeped loudly all night long. We didn't want to risk breaking it by messing with it. The backyard is not maintained and there are small thorny seedpods everywhere that are sharp enough to penetrate vans slip-ons and will draw blood. If you walk on the "grass" you get thorns in your feet. Guests are asked not to wear shoes inside the house, but the thorns are in the carpets and stuck in our bare feet in the kitchen and bathroom. There is no way to use the ceiling light in the living room without having the fan on full blast and the batteries in the remote for the fan were dead so it was either too dark or too windy. No peaceful nights in the hammocks or a nap during the day since the next door neighbors like to blast their music on the backyard speakers day and night. No bathmats, hand towels or dish towels. The comforters are very thin and mattresses are too firm.
