About this property

Hi everyone,

My husband and I bought this wonderful cottage in January 2021 with the aim to fully renovate it and then share it with others who appreciate a location directly in the Danish West Coast nature, the amazing tranquility, the big dunes, and the close proximity to the wide North Sea beach at Haurvig. We have finally finished the complete renovation and are happy to share the cottage for rent for Spring, Summer, Autumn, Christmas etc.)

We have all new installations in the bathroom, everything in the kitchen is brand new (dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, and we have also added some extra luxury with a 2-zoned wine refrigerator and an outdoor pizza oven). Both beds on the ground floor are new and we also changed the rest of the interior. There's outdoor furniture and sunbeds - and you will find everything you need for a fantastic North Sea holiday!

Please note that everything is included in the rent you see here, i.e. heating, electricity, water, bed linen etc. are all included (this is not the standard in Danish holiday rentals but we feel this is much more transparent for our guests).

NB: the cottage has two bedrooms on the ground floor and one bedroom on the first floor (only accessible via a staircase which is little bit steep and somewhat narrow)

The cottage is the ideal place for an active and /or relaxing vacation for both kids and adults. You can rent bicycles to ride along the 'Vestkyststien' - a 45 km trail running through the dunes - only for walking or bicyckling. Our house is located by the middle of 'Vestkyststien'. There is also surfing, wind surfing, kite surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing etc. and especially Hvide Sande is a hub for water sport.

Our cottage is located only 500 meters from the sea and is close to the fjord too. You don’t have to cross any roads when you walk to the sea!

Schöne Tage in den Dünen!

Wir haben die Zeit in dem sehr sauberen und schön ausgestatteten Haus genossen. Die Kommunikation mit der Eigentümerin war immer schnell und besonders nett.

Very cozy cottage in the dunes

Stunned by the beautiful landscape we found the house immediately cozy, yet quite small (especially the bathroom is.. cute :-) after having unpacked our person's baggage for 5 weeks. After we found a good spot for almost all our stuff the only challenge remained to dry our clothes that got completely wet at the first evening on the very short walk to the north sea beach. Fortunately not much more rain for two weeks so no issues here as we could use the outdoor drying rack most of the time. The large space around the houses offers a great deal of privacy. I can summarize that we were pretty happy with the house! We even managed to bake truly delicious pizza in the pizza oven at the first try (thanks to an explanatory YouTube video on the oven's usage probably). Have a great time there everyone!

Ein wirklich tolles Haus!

Wir waren mit Freunden über Silvester in Hvide Sande. Das Haus lag wunderschön und geschützt in den Dünen. Alles, was man braucht, war vorhanden und alles war sauber und neu. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder :)

I love the west coast of Denmark and so my husband and I bought two cottages over the last four years. Many of our own family holidays are on the west coast but we also want to share the amazing nature with others and so we are renting out too. We'd love to welcome you - please do write us with any questions you might have.

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location :-) Plus, everything - as in EVERYTHING - inside is brand new.

The cottage is a traditional Danish West Coast House, built almost 50 years years ago where the classic A-frame house was popular. We fell in love with it instantly. Also, the Haurvig area is rather a special area as there are only 100 cottages or so in the entire area, and access to the sea is extremely easy. The dunes run the entire way from the North Sea to the fjord, and the main road is far away from the cottage.

What makes this property unique

We installed a 2-zoned wine refrigerator and also provide guests with a really good wood powered pizza oven to use outdoors on those long and lovely summer days :-)
