Welcome to our beautiful beach front condo at Kanai A Nalu, on the quiet side of Maui. Our ocean front unit, located on the second floor, overlooks the grounds lush, tropical garden as well as the crystal blue waters of Maalaea Bay.

During the winter months, you can whale watch from our Lanai. This is when the humpback whales bring their young to the protected waters of Maalaea Bay. It's a sight you will never forget and look forward to seeing for years to come. Another wonderful sight from our lanai are the Catamarans boats sailing by in the early evenings, just as the glow of the Maui sunset with its beautiful orange and purple hues cover the sky. As you sit on our Lanai, sipping a cool drink and nibbling on PuPu's (Hawaiian word for hors d'oeuvres) and basking in the after glow of it all. That my friend is when you'll know you're definitely vacationing in Paradise!!

We're located on our own private beach with miles of White Sand that run in either direction. Snorkeling is wonderful at our beach too. With yellow and brilliant blue fish swimming along side you in the coral and rockier area of the water to the right once you've stepped onto the sand. As you leave the sandy beach our guests have access to the outdoor shower. Our cobalt blue tiled swimming pool is complete with a waterfall and is located next to our new double commercial grade gas BBQ's with wrap around counters. Completed October of 2017. We've had rave reviews about it! We also have a dinning area for those who prefer to enjoy their meals outside. It's a fun way to meet your fellow renters as you enjoy the sunset.

We are a five minute walk to the Maalaea Boat Harbor where you can book many water excursions; snorkeling trips to Molokai, Sunset Dinner Cruises as well as dine at the Harbors many Fine & Casual Restaurants and Tourist Shops. WIthin the dining and shopping center you'll find the 'Maui Ocean Center' a #1 tourist attraction with a beautiful aquarium, Miniature Golf and Bumper Boats. It is only a 15 minute drive to Kihei with many shops and restaurants, farmers market, beaches, golf courses and much more.

We've recently renovated our condo, installing granite kitchen counter tops, granite bathroom vanities, cool tiled floors, air conditioning unit with ceiling fans located in dining/living room area/both bedrooms and in master and guest bathrooms. Stackable washer and dryer located INSIDE OUR UNIT and we even supply laundry detergent!! State of the art appliances fit for a King & Queen. Each Bedroom has plantation shutters, ceiling fans, all freshly painted with attention to detail. The master bathroom has a large shower and the guest bath has a shower and bathtub with sliding enclosed doors (not curtains). Each room has its own door with door knob (not dividers or shudders but real doors)

Incredible property!

My family and I (husband and two grown boys) LOVED our stay. Great location to the bay for snorkeling and harbor shops. Super clean and well stocked. Would definitely recommend!

Bucket List Vacation

The condo was in a great location! Close to the harbor where we went on two boat tours and within walking distance to a beautiful beach. Stores & restaurants all within a 15 minute drive. We only used the pool once but it was refreshing after our walk on the beach. We really enjoyed the lanai and watched whales the one morning with our binoculars. The condo itself was nice but we did have some issues. The front door was REALLY hard to get open every time we tried to unlock it. You had to mess with the knob & key til it worked. The floor was dirty from day one and made our feet black when walking barefoot. We bought swiffer pads & cleaner so we could mop them up each day. The tv in the bedroom never worked. Contacted the owner but no reply. A/C was a little wall unit in the corner of the living room on the floor. It was on a 4 hr max timer but with the lanai screen open and the front door, we had a nice breeze the whole time. The sliding door to the closet in the 2nd bedroom was cracked and very hard to move. Does not have a keurig coffee pot. Was told it broke before we got there and replaced with a regular pot. Overall, it worked for what we needed it for. Was disappointed that our texts to the owner were not answered.

The perfect stay

We loved our stay at this property. Even thought there is not much to do in Maalea, it is very central as we drove everyday in different directions! Very clean and quiet. Lots of room for 4 people.

Perfect place - we’ll be back!

We spent Christmas here and had a wonderful time. Great central location for getting out and seeing Maui plus it’s at the end of a road that ends at a park. Sandy beach and good snorkeling right out the door. This is truely a great deal for a great place!

Great peaceful location

If you’re looking for a quiet slice of paradise, this is it. Conveniently located, but isolated from the hustle and bustle of the congested tourist areas. A short walk to the beach, a lovely pool and grilling area. The grounds and building are well maintained.

Property is great for aweek stay on Maui. Centrally located so each day youcan go in a different direction. For a longer term stay I'd recommend Kihie or Lahaina, because restaurants abd stires are closer.

Nice spot on the beach!

Great location with beach access. Place was clean and check-in/out was easy. The condo is very central to most parts of Maui. I'd stay here again, if the opportunity was there. A few things to consider if you are sensitive to noise: The Ma'alaea area can get pretty windy. You will hear planes occasionally flying into Kahului.

Great Condo

Stayed in Kanai A Nalu 202. Property is well maintained and has all the necessities you could ask for and then some. We love this spot on the island, easy to get to anywhere you would want to go. The oceanfront view is beautiful and it’s great to be so close to the beach! Perfect spot!

Location location location - this property has the most beautiful view from the living room and balcony - beautiful blue water and palm trees swaying in the breeze. Check-in instructions were easy to follow. Glad we chose this location.

Amazing gem of a property

This property was amazing. Quiet condo area in the harbor district of Maalaea Bay. The condo was comfortable and clean and had an amazing view from the lanai. The property was clean and with walking distance of the beach. The private beach is not crowded and offers perfect waters for swimming and boogie boarding.

Perfect family getaway

Couldn't ask for a more perfect spot - either in physical location on island or the condo itself. We explored the road to Hana, Lahaina, and the areas around us (and close to airport too). It was centrally located to all we wanted to do. The private beach right outside was gorgeous. We could do our daily exploring and still enjoy that particular beach several hours most days just relaxing and playing in the sand and water. Lots of beach equipment in the condo, well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, plenty of towels, very clean . . . The owners are also very helpful and accessible too. Next time I come back to Maui this is definitely where I plan to stay!

Plenty of room with a view

The condo was spacious and well stocked. Every morning it was Kona coffee on the lanai looking for whales then a long walk on a beach that starts at the condo. Extra linens, beach toys, washer & dryer, well stocked kitchen, and an automatic ice maker that works! Close to the aquarium and marina for the whale watching tour. You will need a car to get to Kahului and Kihei, but the drive is only about 10-15 minutes. The trade winds kept the condo a nice temperature without ever having to turn on the air conditioner. Definitely would rent the unit again.

The location of this condo is wonderful. We could see many whales right from the balcony. The grounds are kept immaculate with daily gardeners. We liked that this condo had two bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a washer/dryer and was stocked well with kitchen items, plenty of towels, paper towels, napkins, and spices. Our only criticism is that the pillows were needing to be replaced because they were quite stained under the pillow cases, there were knobs missing off of the light/fan switches and off of the toaster. And the outlets were loose so plugs would not stay in them. It felt a little like a college apartment but with an amazing view. We were asked to wash sheets and towels before we left, with a checkout time of 10am. That was really the only thing that kind of stressed us out to wake up early enough to do all of that before we had to leave, while also getting ourselves packed up.

Wonderful 2 week stay

We visited Maui during the horrible wildfires that caused much destruction and loss of life in the beautiful island of Maui. God bless all those who were affected. Fortunately for us , we were safe and sound at this condo. Grounds were clean, quiet and well maintained. Beach is clean and walkable. Clear calm water most days. Great pool that was never over crowded. Location is perfect. 15-20 minute drive to airport, Costco, Walmart, Safeway and Target. Close drive to the town of Kiheh where you can find more great beaches, shave ice, sushi, etc. Condo was very comfortable for a family of 4. Lots of dishes, pots and pans and kitchen basics like coffee, spices and all the cleaning supplies you may need. Beds were comfortable and we left our windows open to hear the comforting sounds of the ocean as we slept. Showers were great. We always left the lanai screen open and never felt the need to open the AC. Amazing view from our lanai. Loved spending time watching the sunrise and the stars at night. We really enjoyed our stay! We would recommend highly. DLG

Wonderful!

This is a great condo for up to 4 people. The kitchen is amazingly stocked with spices, every pot and pan you could imagine, serving platters, coffee pot that uses keurig pods and can also use ground beans and fill the 13 cup pot! Toaster, waffle makers, blender, cutting boards, ....everything you could ever need. There are oodles of beach goodies - some sorkle equipment, 2 beach chairs, pool noodles, a.coolerand a few boogie boards! With the breeze coming through we almost never had to use the A/C. Only once, we turned it on. The view is amazing and we've already seen whales in the cove! The cleaning staff work so hard to keep the grounds clean and enjoyable. Sooo much walking beach, just out the door. I honestly have nothing bad to say. This was a wonderful stay that we will do next year when we come back! Mahalo for allowing us to use your gorgeous condo!

Awesome stay

It was an awesome stay, for the price. Some minor issues were not immediately addressed and there was currently no direct beach access. Apparently, the sun doesn't set where it could be seen, at least during the time we stayed. However, I enjoyed the sun rise over the mountains, the breeze coming thru the unit was refreshing during the day. It was a great place to go back to at the end of days full of outings. Thanks for the supplies and equipment.

Our first vacation to Maui was all it took, we were hooked. Knowing that we wanted to return Maui as much as possible, we decided to take the proceeds from the condo we had just sold in California and use it to purchase a condo in Maui. Now that we're both retired we visit our home here in Maui at least 3 to 4 months out of the year.

Why they chose this property

We Flew back to Maui several times to check out different areas in Maui. We started in Kiehi then travelled all the way up to Napili. We ended up choosing our property for several reasons. We loved that it was not over crowded with tourists and traffic, like many areas have become. Maalaea is quiet and laid back. We enjoy sitting on the Lanai so much as you feel the warm tropical breeze flow through your hair your eyes direct you down the tropical garden path to the cool waters edge of our private swimming pool. If that were'nt captivating enough if you continue a few more feet you'll feel the warm sand between your toes because you've now arrived at the edge of our beautiful white sandy beach. At certin times of the year you can actually see the humpback whales swimming by with their calf's. . The blue tranquil waters sparkle from the sun dancing on top of the waves like little crystals, its breath taking! This is why we choose our condo in our little corner of Paradise, we hope you will enjoy it too.
