My husband had to travel to Austin for business. We used to live in Austin and are very familiar with the different areas.
We booked this nice looking listing in "the Domain", shopping and dining all in walking distance. On the day of check in, it's a Monday, we get a message from manager between 4-5 am that the posh place in the Domain we booked is unavailable and he has a different place for him to stay. Did the manager not know this on Friday? We were notified on the travel day between 4-5 am that morning! The replacement place was in the Lamplight area. The interior looked like a poorly done flip-house. We paid for a nice place with a pool and gym access, everything in walking distance, except my husband did not get to stay there, 1 shower didn't even work, my husband had to use the other shower, kitchen cabinets dirty, 40 years old sheetrock with some paint on them, etc.
