Clean home.
First the good: the home is very clean and fairly updated. There is secured parking for your car. There is an OK Soda around the corner that does fried chicken and hamburgers. There is a nice little bakery next to it and a small grocery store on the corner. All within an easy walk.
The not-as-good: there are no fans in the house and it was quite hot. Opening the door and windows does help it cool down in the evening, but then everyone can see into the house and you hear every little thing on the street (dogs barking, cats fighting, a drunk guy fighting with his lady friend). We stayed two nights and had difficulty sleeping both nights. The shower has a shower head that heats the water, but it is still quite cold unless you really reduce the flow a lot.
Overall a nice clean place to stay for the two days in Cartago. Could be improved pretty easily by adding some fans for each bedroom.
