The bright, spacious apartment AMBRA 1 is about 70 square meters. It has 2 separate bedrooms with a double and two single beds and a modern, large living-dining-kitchen. From here you come through a wide glass front to the balcony with stunning views of the sea. The living room is equipped with TV, music system, a library and a DVD player. (In addition, here is a large sofa bed for a 5. Person.) For film enjoyment, a large selection of DVDs is available.
For environmental and health reasons, we have no air conditioning purchased. Each room has a ceiling fan.

AMBRA 1 is located in the house 'Sasa', which is located in the mild, green, southern bay Karbuni, away from tourism and everyday life. The house is 30 meters above sea level and has been rented since April 2010. Its 4 modern apartments in Swiss standard, thanks to the large windows that look directly to the sea, bright and bright. The sea, with its rocky, crystal clear sea, is the perfect setting for fishing, diving and snorkelling. Lots of shade, secluded little terraces under pine trees, futuristic awnings, our own loungers and a lot of space in the sun can be found on our large swimming spot. For boaters we have some moorings!
The island is ideal for mountain biking, hiking, enjoying nature. In 45 minutes you can reach the picturesque capital Korcula. Countless picturesque villages in untouched bays reflect Dalmatian culture and hospitality. In addition, in the larger towns such as Blato and Vela Luka cafés to stay, markets, shops and rental options for vehicles of all kinds. For a day trip, head to the world-famous Unesco city of Dubrovnik or the ancient Roman city of Split.

As in summer as well as in winter!: Do you know that the island of Korcula can be very attractive for us Western Central Europeans even in the cold months? For 12 years we have been coming to our paradise in winter and spring, seduced by the uniquely colorful colors of nature and the mild climate without fog. With a backpack on your back or on a bike ride you forget the gloomy everyday life of your working life.
We have equipped for you two apartments (Ambra 2 and Corallo 2) with a Swedish stove, so that a winter evening can be comfortably enjoyed by a log fire and a glass of wine. (The wood is at your disposal.) Through the continuous southern window front, the living room is also warmed up by the low winter sun. So you can enjoy both nature and cool days in the house!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: The Dalmatian coast is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled coastlines in the Mediterranean. It boasts clear, clean water and a depth that makes swimming, diving, snorkeling, surfing and sailing a pleasure. The fish from this water tastes particularly aromatic and tender. It is sold in the market or served in the idyllic local restaurants for delicious local wine and vegetables.
If you prefer not to come by car, you can rent a car at Split or Dubrovnik Airport or directly on the island of Korcula. The holidays in our bay will be unforgettable for you! And another thing: next to the house 'Sasa' is our second house 'Beba', which you also find on a holiday home and in our personal website.

TRAVEL: A well-developed highway leads from Rijeka or Zagreb over Split towards Dubrovnik to Ploce. So you are in a few hours from the north of Croatia in the port of Split or near the peninsula Peljesac. In summer it is beneficial to drive during the night to avoid traffic jams. It does not matter if it's a bit more comfortable or with public transport: The Jadrolinjja boat company offers ferry rides and catamaran cruises.
By plane you can reach Split (or perhaps Dubrovnik) daily from various European cities. The transfer by shuttle bus from the airport to the port and thus to the crossings to the island is well developed and cheap.
