Bear Trap Dunes runs a shuttle to Bethany Beach in-season.
Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available.
The pools are located at the community pavilion. (The pool located on October Glory is for owner use only.)
The Bear Trap Dunes Owners Association charges an optional per person fee for guests ages 4 and older for the use of the community’s amenities, including the in-season beach shuttle, pools, tennis and fitness center. This fee varies by the time of year and is subject to change without notice. Guests that opt to purchase amenity passes MUST purchase at the Bear Trap Pavilion.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great home for anyone but 4 people is ideal. Good location, Beds comfortable, good layout, good kitchen with all you need, lots of good towels, nice neighborhood, TV, Netflixs and Amazon if you have an account, If blinds had been fixed would have rated 5 star. They will be fixed we were told but it was not a problem for us. Vacasa sent me too many texts, to include a survey about the home and how clean it was the day we arrived. Vacasa….really? Surveys come at the end of ones stay. Place was very clean. Vacasa staff very helpful and nice. when I called for info. information. Finally…….get better toilet paper! (On the off season would have been nice to check out at 11. Not ten. )

Im frequently in the Bethany/Ocean View area and this is my second time staying here. Clean, quiet, always comfy and cozy. Not far from the beach. Easy check in and out w/ Vacasa.

Very Disappointed

We’ve rented many condos in Bethany and this was the most disappointing experience we’ve ever had. Upon arrival we noticed that the house was not clean. The fake plants and trees all over the house we’re completely covered in dust. One was right next to the bed in the primary bedroom. That bed, advertised as a queen, is actually a full. It was too small for both of us so one of us had to sleep on the couch all week. The bed frame in the primary was broken so anytime I turned, it squeaked very loudly. It was impossible to get a good night’s sleep. There were ants all over the living room and crawling on the chairs. We had to buy two large packs of ant traps. We moved the chairs and found potato chips underneath one of them, so the ants were having a field day. There were also a ton of ants in the primary bedroom. Two of the blinds in the living room were broken and could not be opened. It’s always nice to get light in the house, especially when on vacation. Instead, it was like a cave. One of the blinds in the second bedroom was also broken. The listing showed a bunk bed with a ladder in the second bedroom. Upon arrival the ladder was in the closet and broken. My son had to climb on the outside of the bed to get to the top. My daughter felt something fall on her in the night and it was a screw that had popped out from the slats holding the top mattress in place. Upon a further look, the slats were not screwed in anywhere, though there were holes for screws. The top mattress and the person sleeping could have fallen through. We called Vacasa and the had someone come out the following day to fix the issues and clean the house. When we got home after they left, we found that they had reattached the ladder, but screwed the slats beneath the bottom bunk but not the top. The repairman left us a note saying he could not fix the bed in the primary or the blinds. The dryer is also in need of repair, as it makes a screeching noise so it can’t be used if you’re home because the sound is awful and very loud. The glass table on the screen porch was broken. The dining table covered in sand and the chair pillows so filthy that you couldn’t sit on them. This house needs a huge overhaul. It’s dirty and in terrible disrepair. The appliances (toaster, coffeemaker) are old school. The ice dispenser in the fridge was broken. We asked to be moved to a different unit but none were available. What a huge disappointment. It was not at all as advertised.

Nice condo not far from the beach

Very comfortable, nice and quiet area. Has everything you need for a nice stay; my only issue would be more linens there was 2 towels and one wash cloth. Also it didnt appear that the sheets were changed in the master bed room as there was a stain on the fitted sheet. Other than those 2 minor issues I would rent again.
