Three of us stayed for three nights very comfortably. Jessica and Chad were very helpful and accommodating and made everything go smoothly. They made us feel very welcome and we would happily return. Thanks so much--

Loved this place and our hosts.
Exactly what we were looking for - great location (close to Burlington, but not Burlington); near rivers; beautiful, clean and well appointed old farmhouse...with adorable animals! And, fabulous hosts. We'll return for sure!

Beautiful home, gracious hosts!
Our stay gave us everything we hoped for and more. We had plenty of space in our upstairs suite, and looked forward to coming back to the coziness after long days of skiing! Jess was communicative and gracious about our late night arrival, and use of the kitchen. I also loved getting to interact with their 2 sweet dogs AND the goats! I highly recommend the stay, and hope to return next time I visit northern VT!!

LOVED! LOVED! LOVED!
Our experience with the property owner was amazing! VRBO overbooked the property and the owner offered us the second option for the original price. The apartment was very quaint and private and it was a unique experience where we could watch the baby goats and other animals while we ate. It was 20 minutes to the Convention Center and Essex Junction, and less than an hour to drive through the Lake Champlain Islands. We took one evening and drove to upper NY for dinner and could have driven into Canada if we’d have had our passports with us. Next time. Thank you the Jessica and Chad for a lovely experience.

Picturesque Home
Our space was warm, welcoming, and well-decorated. The space was well thought out, and the needed things were easy to find. Check-in was effortless and was in a great location. One note is that the guest space is upstairs with no full door to separate the host and guest spaces. The stairs and layout separated the space naturally, but we were unaware of this before coming in. This was not a big deal! We felt we had our area, and it was very private. Just a helpful note for others.

About the host

We love being hosts, sharing this beautiful property with others brings us so much joy. Chad is born and raised in Vermont, I have been here for close to 17 years. We love the property for so many reasons, the tranquility, the landscape, and the beautiful energy that surrounds us. We have recently added goats, ducks and chickens. Our flower and veggie gardens are bountiful. They're all very sweet and quite entertaining. This home is also associated with UVM rowing and local rowers. During the rowing season you will see students and locals out on the river training. We love our home and truly enjoy sharing it with others.

Why they chose this property

The house was purchased not only because of the desire to live in an old farmhouse, but the location, the views and the peace and quiet were major selling points.

What makes this property unique

200 years of history here. We have worked hard to maintain the authenticity of the home, while also building upon it our own interests...expanding the gardens and adding farm animals.
