About this property

Cozy, Comfortable Casita between Taos and Taos Ski Valley

You'll wake up to the beauty of the sun rising over Taos Mountain and go to sleep under a canopy of stars. No traffic noises will disturb you in this pastoral setting, but you might hear coyotes singing at night, or even catch sight of one running through the fields in the early morning light. Our guesthouse is only about a mile from the picturesque village of Arroyo Seco, where you can shop, or enjoy a latte or an ice cream at The Cow, or grab some groceries at Sol Foods. It's 10 miles from the excitement of Taos Ski Valley and eight miles from the galleries, restaurants, Taos Pueblo, and other amenities of Taos. But you'll be in your own peaceful world when you're here.

The spacious one bedroom casita is comfortably furnished, with everything you'll need to feel at home. You'll relish the Southwestern feeling of this adobe house with its viga and latilla ceilings, tile floors and plastered walls. Radiant heat in the floor keep bare feet toasty even in the winter. The owners will be happy to give you some 'insider' tips about the area to make your vacation even more memorable.

Arroyo Seco stay
Our casita couldn't have been nicer. We were close enough to Taos to go in for coffee, but removed enough to enjoy a lovely countryside and view. The guest house was spacious and fully equipped. Enjoyed the flowering trees, magpies, hummingbirds and rabbits in the yard. It was lovely.

About the host

Hi there!
My name is Lucy Woodall. I grew up in Arroyo Seco on the same property as the casita resides. I split my time between Santa Fe and Albuquerque for work and enjoy coming to Taos any chance I get. When I am in Taos and depending on the season, I can be found hiking our lovely mountain trails, enjoying music on the Plaza, and skiing in the Taos Ski Valley.
I hope you come to visit our beautiful home and community!

What makes this property unique

The mountains and rivers of Northern New Mexico are right outside your door to enjoy, whether you prefer the excitement of the ski slopes or the tranquility of the back country during the winter. In the summer you can raft down Class IV rapids on the Rio Grande, hike the high mountains, fish the streams, take a ride in a hot air balloon over the gorge. Art lovers will delight in the variety of creativity here. And then there is always Taos Pueblo to enjoy.
