Welcome to The Shanty! Enjoy our brand new year-round lake house with water access and a beautiful view of Chautauqua Lake. A few steps out the door is access to a channel just a few houses away from the lake. Take advantage of ice fishing in the winter and fun water activities in the summer!

We reside in Buffalo, N.Y. and find relaxing reprieve here at Chautauqua Lake. When we are not at home chasing after our toddler, we enjoy taking pontoon cruises, winery/brewery tasting (our favorites are 21 Brix and Big Inlet), and antiquing in the region- check out the HFM Emporium & Flea right around the corner from our cottage!

Why they chose this property

"The Shanty" as we call it, has been in our family since the 1980's. Originally the cottage was a fishing shanty that was pulled on and off the lake for ice fishing. When we became owners in 2015, it was our dream to rebuild, so we could enjoy it for many years to come with our growing family. We love our happy place on the lake and wish to share our joy with others!
