A Mostly Great House with a few annoyances and poor communication
Overall, good house with poor property management. PROS -great layout with 3 bedrooms downstairs and one upstairs. -Nice living spaces with comfortable couch and rugs for playing -Very clean -Awesome location right by Homewood, lake, near to Tahoe City, etc CONS -Communication with Vacasa was a huge pain. A couple days after booking, I reached out to add an additional night. Vacasa responded with a canned response offering another night for MORE THAN DOUBLE the nightly rate paid in our 5 day reservation. I asked about this and they ignored my question for many days before I reached out a second then a third time. They finally responded with another totally copy/paste message that was very unhelpful. -EARLY check out. Check out time is 10AM, which I feel is early as it is. Standard is 11AM in my experience. Hosts have very frequently been accommodating if you message ahead and willing to allow one extra hour to clear out. Vacasa reached out proactively to offer late check out…for a FEE and were clear that if we didn’t purchase this option ahead that check out was firmly 10 AM. Very unreasonable and nonstandard in my opinion. - A few strange/important omissions from the house - we couldn’t find hot mitts or dish towels anywhere. Also very few trash cans (none in bedroom and missing from some bathrooms). One bathroom was also missing hand soap. -The heat was a little funky, making the bedrooms cold. Normally I wouldn’t mind but the blankets were very thin.

Had a great stay!
Fit all the people I needed with extra space, clean bathrooms. There just were not detergent pods for the dish washer. Other than that it was perfect!!

Our stay
It was nice stay however, there were no washcloths to wash our bodies, had to go to the store and buysome. The front door gave us trouble leaving..The dead bolt wouldn't lock. After talking to the agent on the phone for a while, my husband was able to lock the door. The carpet upstairs was covered with white dog hair..It seemed like it was never vacuumed. I found cooking utensils in the drawers with food stuck to them. The barbque grills outside was never cleaned. Still had food stuck to it. Overall, the sheets were cleaned and it was a quiet neighborhood.
