About this property

SEAS THE DAY: Gorgeous, Light Filled Home Close to Beaches, Rail Trail & More

SEAS THE DAY is a beautiful open concept, 4 bedroom, 2 full bath home located on a quiet cul-de-sac in historic South Yarmouth.

SEAS THE DAY sleeps up to 10 and offers a sun-filled first floor, a kitchen open to the entire living area, and an awesome bunkroom and basement game room for the kids! Spend your evenings star gazing around the fire pit in the private, fenced back yard. The back yard also features an ornamental pond with fountain, deck, patio, and outdoor shower.

SEAS THE DAY is within minutes of 8 beautiful beaches, including #1 ranked Mayflower Beach, and is a short bike ride to the Cape Cod Rail Trail and Flax Pond swimming pond. You can walk to Follins Pond and a cranberry bog and are just a few minute's drive to wonderful restaurants, ice cream, mini golf, and one of the Cape's favorite clam shacks, Capt. Frosty's. We are located just 2 miles from Rt. 6A, named one of 10 best scenic coastal drives in the United States. There is so much to explore - or simply relax on one of the many stunning beaches nearby. One of the reasons we chose this home is its central, yet secluded, location which means exploring the best of Cape Cod is convenient and easy.

We offer 4 bedrooms:
1 king
1 queen
1 full
6 twins in the nautical bunkroom

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, cooking gadgets, blender, slow cooker, waffle maker, drip coffee maker, as well as a propane grill outside. The semi-finished basement game room offers ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and giant Jenga. Or play some corn hole in the yard - the kids will never be bored! A washer and dryer are also available for your use.

We are experienced hosts and third generation Cape Codders. We provide our personal guide to the best of everything so you can spend every minute making memories.

What you hope but rare find in a vacation rental!
My two adult children and I rented Seas the Day to be close to family coming to Cape Cod for the Christmas holidays, 2018. For a winter retreat, when you spend a lot of time indoors, it offers the perfect amount of spaciousness, bright natural light, and warm comfort. In the mornings, we loved the living room, with its large windows that bring the outdoors in, for coffee and conversation in our PJs. We enjoyed it just as much in the evenings working on a puzzle and debriefing about the day. I've stayed at plenty of vacation rentals, and have learned the difference in the details. Everything here made us feel like valued guests while at the same time very much at home. We really felt the owners cared that we had a good night sleep with quality mattresses, that we deserved to enjoy tasteful furniture, adequate lighting in the right places, and stylish decor minimally appointed. Every room was spotlessly clean. We always rent with a mind to cook as a group and entertain, and the kitchen here did not disappoint. It accommodates all the cooks, has quality appliances, a variety of pots and pans and plenty of them, a robust supply of cooking utensils and bowls, cutting boards, and clean-up supplies. To top it off, we had flown in from San Francisco and were prepared to go without decking the halls this year, but we were warmly welcomed by a small tree, some decorations, and stockings hung by the chimney with care! When I visit the Cape, I look for sanctuary. This house is located in a quiet neighborhood tucked away from the hustle-bustle, but close to stores, beaches, and nature walks. The attached garage was a bonus for coming and going on the rainy, cold days. A few weeks prior to our arrival, Kim sent an email with recommendations for holiday events and activities on the Cape, and she was quick to respond to questions I had. All in all, Kim really raised the bar on vacation rentals for us!

Perfect Cape Getaway
We loved Seas the Day! We had two families with 5 children to celebrate the New Year and the home was perfect. Wide open floor plan made it great to cook, hangout and just enjoy a fun holiday weekend with friends and family. The house was very clean and there was more than enough room and beds for the 9 of us. The kids' room with 2 bunkbeds and a trundle bed was a lot of fun for 5 children. Can't wait to stay here again!

A delightfully relaxing & fun week!
We had such a great time! We loved the home, and the location. My husband enjoyed his morning walks, and loved how close the house was to so many of our favorite towns, shops, restaurants and sights. The great room is so inviting, and the perfect place to relax after a day out and about. Thanks to Kim & Keith for sharing their gorgeous home!

I grew up on Cape Cod in the summers and wanted the same wonderful experience for our children. I always say my best childhood memories are from Cape Cod.

Why they chose this property

We left no stone unturned in our house search. This home is in a beautiful neighborhood that feels miles away from it all, but in reality is within minutes to everything we love on the Cape...beaches, fine dining, shopping, bike & hiking trails and many special natural spots like 'crab creek' and the herring run. What sold us was the incredible two-story great room, the light - even on cloudy days - is just stunning.

What makes this property unique

Many of our guests are multi-generational families. The house is well suited for this with the bunkroom that sleeps 6 - kids absolutely love it. That leaves three additional spacious bedrooms for the grownups. The back yard is an outdoor living room with fire pit, living room and dining furniture, landscape lighting, outdoor speakers and ornamental pond. Our guests love coming home from a day at the beach to enjoy a margarita or glass of wine and dinner outdoors - as do we!
