Originally from Iowa, I spent the first 25 years of my life white-knuckling the midwestern personal freezing point was reached and I headed south to Kansas City where I finished my chiropractic doctorate degree in 2004.

Still not comfortable with the cold temps in KC, I packed up and moved even further south to the beautiful, energetic, sunny and warm Austin, TX to begin my career as a doctor of chiropractic. I have lived in Austin for 13 years and I can truly say I have found my "home."

I love warm weather and sunshine but I would be remiss if I didn't express my love for the culture, the health and wellness mentality, and the FOOOOD!!!

Being in nature and feeling the breeze on my face, hearing all kinds of birds chirping and feeling the relaxing solitude when hiking the greenbelt with my 3 dogs is my number 1 favorite thing to do since I moved here in 2005. I highly encourage you to enter the Greenbelt via one of the many access points and just escape into Austin's natural beauty.
Within minutes--you won't even realize you are still right in the city!

Why they chose this property

I bought this property because it was still in it's original condition from the original owners who built it in 1964. It has the nostalgic feel of a home that has been well cared for and loved through time. Solid, sound-proof construction absorbs extraneous noise pollution from both the inside and outside.

The wide open entertaining spaces took me straight back to the 1960's era. When I walked in, my mouth dropped and I lost my breath for just a second.

I bought it the same day I saw it. It was "love at first sight."

What makes this property unique

The home has 2 huge entertaining rooms with sliding glass doors. One of which is a sunken entertaining / dining room.
There is a lot of room for the occupants to move about when entertaining or to laydown and just do some yoga / stretching if needed.

This home is blocks away from the access ramp to get onto MOPAC or HWY 183. You are literally in the heart of everything and these major roadways will get you anywhere you want to be within a matter of minutes.

The gas fireplace is grand...16 feet across the entire living room wall. The esthetic and feel of this stone inside the home makes the ambiance warm, cozy and inviting.

The fireplace combined with the excellent sound-proof construction of the home offers a "cave-like" experience that lulls you into the temptation of saying "Let's just stay in and relax..."
