Holiday house Spiti Karma - relax by the pool with a view of the sea, plain and mountains.
The house is located in a quiet outskirts of Kamilari (Festos municipality) with a fantastic view of the sea, the Messara plain and the Ida Mountains (Psiloritis 2456m) in a place full of energy.
The entire complex is generously dimensioned - holiday house approx. 170 sqm, terraces approx. 300 sqm, infinity pool 40 sqm plus garden - and well equipped. Everything is there to make you feel good all around. (Washer, dryer, TV, WiFi, pellet stove, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mosquito screens everywhere, ...).
Taverns and shops are within walking distance. With the car you are within a few (!) Minutes on one of the beaches, but you can also start a long walk through olive groves right on the doorstep.

Why they chose this property
We have been in love with Crete since many years. Now we had the chance to fulfill a dream at a location, that found us. Live and experience Crete. Here we have our second home.
First it was the landscape, the sea with all the mountains in the background and the fertile Messara plains with it’s many olives, oranges and lemons, in addition to so much sun, that fascinated us. Actually, in fact, it’s because of the people with all their openness and hospitality, that gave us the feeling of beeing welcome, beeing at home.
You need your own openness, to get engaged with Crete and it’s people, to live their way of living. This you don’t get in all the tourist hotspots, not in Knossos, Elafonisi or Preveli. (Locations, that are worth to be visited.)
You experience a bit of everyday life in the back country, e.g. at the markets in Tymbaki or Mires. One buys and sells, fruits and vegetables, fish, chicken, clothes, . . . You meet each other for a souvlaki or a coffee . . .
In spite of all the activity one can feel, that life isn’t hectic. It is not 200% organised, a lot is improvised – but mostly functional. Family. Friends. Together. Life. Vitality. It is . . . a bit different.

What makes this property unique
When we saw our plot of land the first time, we couldn’t believe it. It had all we had in our dreams. A sea view as far as Agios Pavlos, the whole Messara plains at our feet until the mountains in front of the Lasithi high plains. Having the Psiloritis as our local mountain, sun from sunrise to sunset . . .
There was quietness. There was energy. And this all wasn’t anywhere far away, it is nearby to a small village, where people live all the year.
Everyone has a different sense for his. But for us it was absolutely clear, that we had found our place.
