Holiday house Spiti Karma - relax by the pool with a view of the sea, plain and mountains.

The house is located in a quiet outskirts of Kamilari (Festos municipality) with a fantastic view of the sea, the Messara plain and the Ida Mountains (Psiloritis 2456m) in a place full of energy.

The entire complex is generously dimensioned - holiday house approx. 170 sqm, terraces approx. 300 sqm, infinity pool 40 sqm plus garden - and well equipped. Everything is there to make you feel good all around. (Washer, dryer, TV, WiFi, pellet stove, air conditioning, ceiling fan, mosquito screens everywhere, ...).

Taverns and shops are within walking distance. With the car you are within a few (!) Minutes on one of the beaches, but you can also start a long walk through olive groves right on the doorstep.

Hervorragende Unterkunft

Wir hatten wunderbare, erholsame Tage auf Spiti Karma. Die Terrasse mit dem Pool ist ein Traum und abends kann man wunderbar den Sonnenuntergang betrachten. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Auch die Lage passt. Strand, Meer aber auch Tavernen sind gut zu erreichen. Wir können Spiti Karma auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Wunderschöner Urlaub in sehr schöner Region …

Wir haben einen Familienurlaub in einer sehr schönen Region im Süden Kretas verbracht. Unsere Unterkunft war ein wunderschöner und sehr gepflegter Bungalow mit hochwertiger Ausstattung und einem tollen Pool. Übernahme und Übergabe des Hauses sowie Klärung von Fragen liefen absolut problemlos durch deutschsprachige Betreuung Vorort. Das Haus liegt wenige Minuten außerhalb des schönen Örtchens Kamilari. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants sind fussläufig erreichbar. Strände und Sehenswürdigkeiten gibt es genügend in der Umgebung. Wir werden sicherlich wieder hierher zurückkehren :-))

Traumhaftes Haus in ruhiger Lage

Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön, die Lage mit Blick über die Olivenbäume, Berge und seitlichem Meerblick traumhaft. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, die Küche besser ausgestattet als bei uns zu Hause und alles ist sehr sauber. Der Pool ist wie vielerorts auf Kreta nicht beheizt und daher etwas kalt im Oktober, aber die Kids haben ihn sehr geliebt. Das Haus liegt am ruhigen Rand eines süßen Ortes mit einigen Tavernen und einem Supermarkt. Andrea, unser Housekeeper, war sehr zuvorkommend und hatte einige gute Empfehlungen für uns. Wir haben es sehr genossen und kommen bestimmt wieder!

Kreta traumhaft genießen

Spiti Karma haben wir uns ausgesucht, um eine Woche auszuspannen und um im Oktober noch ein bisschen Sonne und Kraft zu tanken für die kommende dunklere Zeit. Das ist uns gelungen! Allein der Blick von der Terrasse über den Pool aufs Meer und in die Berge ist Balsam für die Seele. Dazu kommt das Haus, ausgestattet mit allem, was man sich wünschen kann. Es entspricht zu 100 Prozent der Beschreibung und den Bildern bei FeWo-direkt. Im Haus fehlt es wirklich an nichts und die gesamte Ausstattung ist von hoher Qualität. Toll ist auch, dass man von Schlafzimmer, Küche und Wohnzimmer den phantastischen Ausblick genießen kann. Das Haus ist ruhig am Ortsrand auf einem Hügel gelegen. Im Ort gibt einen kleinen Supermarkt, in dem wir alle unsere Lebensmittel kaufen konnten. Wer nicht selber kochen möchte hat die Auswahl zwischen mehreren Tavernen im Ort. Wir selbst waren in der Taverne Kipos und haben dort in nettem Ambiente sehr lecker gegessen. Hilfreich, nett und völlig unkompliziert war auch der Kontakt zu den Vermietern und zu Silvia, die uns vor Ort betreut hat. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Beautiful property with amazing views.

We had a fabulous stay; the villa is finished to a high standard and is spotlessly clean and spacious and has a very well equipped kitchen. The view from the terrace pool and the rear bedroom is just wonderful, particularly at sunrise and sunset. Silvia was on hand to help, as were Karinn & Matthias by email. We'd love to visit again.

Why they chose this property

We have been in love with Crete since many years. Now we had the chance to fulfill a dream at a location, that found us. Live and experience Crete. Here we have our second home.

First it was the landscape, the sea with all the mountains in the background and the fertile Messara plains with it’s many olives, oranges and lemons, in addition to so much sun, that fascinated us. Actually, in fact, it’s because of the people with all their openness and hospitality, that gave us the feeling of beeing welcome, beeing at home.

You need your own openness, to get engaged with Crete and it’s people, to live their way of living. This you don’t get in all the tourist hotspots, not in Knossos, Elafonisi or Preveli. (Locations, that are worth to be visited.)

You experience a bit of everyday life in the back country, e.g. at the markets in Tymbaki or Mires. One buys and sells, fruits and vegetables, fish, chicken, clothes, . . . You meet each other for a souvlaki or a coffee . . .

In spite of all the activity one can feel, that life isn’t hectic. It is not 200% organised, a lot is improvised – but mostly functional. Family. Friends. Together. Life. Vitality. It is . . . a bit different.

What makes this property unique

When we saw our plot of land the first time, we couldn’t believe it. It had all we had in our dreams. A sea view as far as Agios Pavlos, the whole Messara plains at our feet until the mountains in front of the Lasithi high plains. Having the Psiloritis as our local mountain, sun from sunrise to sunset . . .

There was quietness. There was energy. And this all wasn’t anywhere far away, it is nearby to a small village, where people live all the year.

Everyone has a different sense for his. But for us it was absolutely clear, that we had found our place.
