About Liz or Phil
We are a retired professional couple who moved to FishHook Lake 23 years ago to open a B&B on our property. We had a great time and were featured on the cover of 'Lakes Alive' magazine and in many newspaper articles. When our grandchildren were born we decided to close the B&B and spend more time with family. Now 17 years after we closed the B&B we are offering the private, king sized suite with separate kitchenette.
Liz or Phil purchased this Lodge in 1996
Why Liz or Phil chose Park Rapids
The Eagles' Nest suite gives visitors an opportunity to experience the Northwoods at it's best. It is private, quiet and restful. There are no other cabins only the owners home. You will have no other vacationers, their dogs and kids around! Because of the closing of so many of the resorts in the area we recognized that it's difficult for visitors to find a room on a lake that is close to golfing, biking, kayaking and swimming.
What makes this Lodge unique
When staying in the Eagles' Nest our guests are able to listen to the loons, watch the eagles and other birds. Guests may prepare their morning coffee and enjoy sitting on the private balcony. There are no other vacation cabins . If they like biking, golfing, kayaking or swimming it is readily available. The suite also offers WiFi, cable flatscreen TV, a hairdryer, a well stocked kitchenette , electric coffee maker and microwave. Adirondack chairs are on your private deck or down by the lake for guests to sit and relax and watch the sunset!

Recommended for a nice getaway!
Perfect romantic getaway
We were met by the owners as we entered the driveway. She was very friendly and showed us around and gave us suggestions of what to do around the area. The place was super clean and just perfect for my fiancee and I. I very highly recommend this place and we plan to stay again on the future!
Perfect for a quiet weekend away
Absolutely loved staying here! So relaxing. The bed was so comfortable, everything was spick and span and the view can't be beat! We took the kayaks out and played some golf at the golf course right across the street. What an ideal location! Went to breakfast both mornings at a cute place called Emmaville Inn that we would highly recommend! Buffet breakfast on Sundays, menu options the rest of the week. It's the cutest family owned general store, cafe and gas station about 15 mins away. Also drove to Detroit Lakes which is about 45 mins away - great area with lots to do and see! Couldn't ask for better hosts than Liz and Phil. Very responsive and so sweet and welcoming. We'll be back!!
The Eagles Nest at Wildwood lodge was such a great place to stay! Liz was so friendly, and the room was spacious and so cute. The king sized bed is an absolute dream- I've never slept in something so comfy my whole life. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends!
If you desire privacy and don't want to share your vacation with others WildWood is the place for you. We have only the Eagles' Nest Suite so no other campers, vacationers, dogs or children can spoil your peace. When in Park Rapids you will want to view the start of the Mississippi at Itasca State Park, come to Park Rapids for 'Logging Days', 'Crazy Days', the September beautiful fall colors, biking the Heartland trail, golfing at our many excellent courses, enjoying wonderful restaurants; or just relaxing by the lake and watching the eagles and the loons. There are no crowds here; just the wind, the lapping of the lake, the sound of the birds and peace and quiet. There are so many activities which change weekly in this busy lake town and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
