College tour/drop off oasis
So glad i picked this house instead of a hotel when my daughter and I toured the University of Delware. It was our 3rd stop on her East Coast Spring break trip, and our most comfortable accommodations. Honestly, the most welcoming and most relaxing house rental I've ever booked. Highlights:
Large basket of snacks and cold water bottles, Kitchen had everything we needed to make home cooked meals, washer and drier in our own basement made it possible to do laundry at night without fear of bothering neighbors, detergent for their clean washing machine and drier made it possible to pack less clothes, 2 living rooms so we could get a break from each other while relaxing with magazine, games or TV, well stocked bathrooms, our own driveway that backed right up to the porch, one step up to bring our bags into a large entryway, wonderful beds with memory foam. I have a bad back, so it was great to have a firmernbed and softer bed to pick from, close to a grocery store.
Only caution would be that you'll need to climb stairs to the bedroom or laundry room. They are on the narrow side, but that didn't bother us. If you are tall, be aware that the basement stairs and basement have low ceilings. I'm 5'5", so they didn’t bother me. If my 6" husband came, he would need to duck, but there are plenty of cute signs.
If my daughter picks Udel, i would immediately book this place anytime I'm in town. Thank you for being our oasis.
