If you don’t like smoke, pass on this one.
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway for our anniversary. The place was quaint and in a great location to walk to most of the hot spots in Fairhope. The only complaints I have were the noise and the smoke from the cigar bar below the loft. If you don’t mind smoke, you’ll be fine. But if smoking bothers you, you should skip this listing. The noise Friday night came from a concert, and Saturday night, there was a wedding (with live music) next door. The night of the concert, the music didn’t stop until after midnight. The noise bothered me less than the smoke. The listing says there’s a purification system and sealed doors, but the smell was still there. Our clothes even smelled like it when we got home, including the things we didn’t wear. The A/C was locked so we had to ask to lower the temperature. Cooler temperatures (or even a fan in the living area) may have helped with circulation of the smoke.
I will note though that the owner (manager?) of the cigar bar was extremely nice. And we still enjoyed our weekend, but we spent the majority of our time out of the loft.
We appreciated the nice towels in the bathroom, the cleanliness of the place, and the quick communication from the property manager.
