The home was clean and as described. The biggest issue I had was a deposit was required to be paid to the property management company before we could check in. This needed to be done before check in through one of the cash apps. Zelle is the only one I use and it is through my bank.
I sent the deposit 30-45 minutes before we arrived at the home. I emailed the PMC and advised I had sent the deposit. We arrived and could not gain entry to the home. I called the number provided an received no answer. I sent a message and the response was they did not receive. I checked my Zelle account and it showed the PMC needed to enroll. I sent the message which was not acceptable because they had never seen that message, it looked fishy.
They asked me to use another cash app and I advised I did not have one. At this time about 45 minutes after our arrival at the house, I just ask that the reservation be cancelled and a refund be issued. We were planning on going to a hotel, which would have cost us a lot more money.
I was told they would cancel but I would not get a refund. I was very frustrated at this point as I had 8 persons who had worked all day trying to get into a place to shower, eat and rest.
All of a sudden, they could change my status from a one evening stay to a reservation and I could provide a deposit via my credit card. Not sure why this wasn't done to begin with.
Very disappointed when it appeared my only option was to go to a hotel and not be refunded
