Great family stay in a beautiful home
We enjoyed our stay at the house. The house is beautiful with great characters. It is very spacious with renovated kitchen and bathrooms. All the bedrooms were large with comfortable beds. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Jesse was a wonderful host, she was very responsive and answered all our questions timely. She is very accommodating, allowed us to leave our luggage in the house after check-out, which was a great help to us since we had a late flight home.

About the host

Originally from Pennsylvania, I grew up visiting my Aunt (the owner of this home) and eventually moved to New Orleans to attend college. Upon graduating, I began working for my aunt by managing her rental properties throughout the city. She purchased this property in the early 2000's prior to hurricane Katrina, and after functioning as a long term rental with two separate units, she decided to convert the home back to its original glory, as a grand single family home. In early 2022 the interior renovations were completed and The Margaux Bleu was opened up to guests as a vacation rental.

Having fallen in love with the city at a young age, and that love only growing since moving here, it felt natural to act as the property's host and welcome guests to our amazing city. When traveling to a new city, I understand the importance of having a comfortable place to stay, as that can impact ones entire travel experience and their opinion about the city itself. I love New Orleans, and love even more to share it with all those who choose to visit.

When you stay at the Margaux Bleu, you are supporting a family business who cares deeply for its city. We provide a guidebook with tons of handpicked recommendations and would be more than happy to provide any additional input when it comes to planning your trip! We'll make sure that you're stay is as special as those you are traveling with, as we hope that The Margaux Bleu is a space that you can connect with your friends, family, and fellow travelers, and enjoy all that New Orleans has to offer!

What makes this property unique

Built in the early 1900's, this home is the epitome of historic New Orleans. In a neighborhood surrounded by tons of new construction short term rentals, none of the nearby homes can compare to the grandeur of this New Orleans gem. Having been recently updated, the design of this home seamlessly blends classic New Orleans charm with modern day amenities. For guests wanting to experience New Orleans in all its glory, by spending your nights in a home with as much character as our city itself, this home is for you! Plus, you're less than a block to St Charles Avenue where you can catch the iconic St. Charles Street car and view the stunning historic mansions that sit on the oak tree lined Avenue!
