Awesome view/location, but cabin needs help
The check-in process was relatively smooth, although the driveway leads to multiple houses and it was not entirely clear which house was the correct rental cabin or where we were supposed to park. The view was incredible (right on the water) and the neighborhood felt safe and secluded - just what we were looking for. The cabin was plenty spacious for myself and my son and it was mostly clean, although the carpet was quite stained and worn. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked, but be prepared to drive at least 30 minutes to get to a grocery store if you plan on cooking meals. The biggest gripe we had was that on the first night of our 7-night stay, the toilet stopped working. We tried calling the property management company (VACASA), but there is no cell service in or around the cabin, so you have to walk to the end of the long driveway to make a call. There is WiFi in the cabin but the WiFi stopped working and was unable to reset. A local handyman finally came out after a few days but he was unable to fix the toilet or the WiFi. Once we were able to reach the local VACASA property manager (Leslie) she was extremely helpful in finding us a relocation property nearby for the remainder of our stay. 5-stars for Leslie, 5-stars for location, 3-stars for cabin.

Lives the history of the home deck and beach was amazing
Privately, the beds were so hard none of us slept, the shower water didn’t work . And. VACASA from 3-6 after we walked down with tons of stuff and my walking disabled daughter they gave us wrong code multiple times, had no service and sun beating on us for 2 hours all good melted , daughter got heat stroke had a seizure , finss as Lou a lady local called my husbands phone as he was 3 docks down trying to get service and said the code was not 1234 and gave us correct code, I loved to hear from neighbors about the family and we were super respectful, but it ruined the first and second day. My husband was freaking he couldn’t shower after lake so I had to get a bowl and wash his 6’5 body and hair lol . I will be back but it was a lot of Mo ry and we enjoyed one day I paid 45$ to leave at 2 pm last day just so we had more time. The lady who te Ted said she’d request refund but I haven’t heard and hate that happened as it was VACASA giving us wrong code for hours and we worked so hard trying to get in , my daughters can’t be in direct sun. We had no where to go. I saw the memories and could feel the love and as grateful to be a part of the family home . . I wish we could own a place like this. But I’d fix a few things! Thank you again. We’d love to come back next summer ! We have a big 34’ Searay we couldn’t bring ! But we are buying a lake boat this week. Magical area since a kid ! Susan and Ryan and Katelynn
