Great place to gather as a family
This house was a really good fit for our family (5 adults and 1 child), while celebrating a 90th birthday at Stottlemyers). The location in town is very convenient and the neighborhood was generally very quiet. Loved the pond view with the wildlife out back. The bedrooms were a great fit our the adults and child in our party, as well. Having the pool with jacuzzi available for an afternoon dip was a treat.
The only reason that we didn't rank it higher was that we had to reach out to get the access code less than an hour before we were due to check-in. We haven't had that with the many other VRBO's that we have stayed at. With traveling in and being the "out of town" hosts for a big party, this was a bit nerve wracking. Also when we got there, the pool screen was torn and a chair on the back porch was broken. We contacted the owner right away and didn't ever hear back. I wanted them to know that when we arrived there were those issues so that we wouldn't be blamed for the damage. The house could use some repairs on the bedroom blinds and the hot water heater...hot water didn't seem to make it over to the far side of the home. But overall, the house is really comfortable and roomy. A really good fit for our family. We would highly consider coming back.
