Inside the house, a harmonious blend of vintage and modern styles takes center stage. Some furnishings have a contemporary look, while others exude antique charm.

Accents and inspiration are drawn from our previous travels to Tulum and Sayulita in Mexico. The architecture and furnishings come together in a simple environment without the risk of clutter. The rooms are open and clean, and the waxed concrete floor helps keep the atmosphere cool, especially in the scorching heat of summer. The kitchen seamlessly connects to the living room, featuring contemporary maple cabinets and retro appliances, showcasing the integration of modern elements with ancient materials and methods in home construction.

Our house offers all the comforts of city living while maintaining a deep connection to the surrounding desert and its natural beauty.

✷ BEDROOM & BATH ✷

This desert loft comfortably accommodates up to two guests, making it perfect for couples.
The bedroom boasts a queen-size bed adorned with cozy Egyptian organic cotton sheets and equipped with a mini-split system to keep it pleasantly cool during hot summer nights.
The casita showcases a stylish and unique exterior shower with a ceramic tile floor and all the necessary amenities. *Please note that this is the only shower on the property*

Our quirky half-bathroom adds a touch of spice, making it an ideal spot for mirror selfies!

✷ KITCHENETTE & DINING ✷

The fully equipped kitchenette features a gas range oven and a medium-sized refrigerator. The brand-new cabinets are fully stocked with cookware and organic spices for your use throughout your stay. With our brand-new espresso machine and coffee grinder, you won't need to search for the nearest coffee shop.

The mid-century dining table comfortably seats two guests, or you can opt for outdoor dining at the patio table, which can accommodate up to eight. The main space is designed to exude minimalistic vibes, with plenty of seating areas dedicated to relaxation and contemplation.

✷ OUTDOORS ✷

Indulge in breathtaking mountain views from your private backyard retreat, complete with a hammock, outdoor projector for movie nights, fire pit, and ample outdoor seating adorned with string lights, perfect for family dinners and outdoor living. Towering saguaro cacti and twisted mesquite trees dot the property and surrounding preserve, enhancing privacy and the natural desert landscape.

Our propane BBQ is at your disposal, and feel free to enjoy dinner on our rustic 8-foot-long table under the starlit sky.

This property spans 1 acre and features three buildings:

An adjacent vintage Nevada Shuttle Bus will be part of our remodeling project to accommodate more guests. Feel free to explore it on your own!
The main house, where my mother and I currently reside and are still in the process of remodeling.
A fire pit located at the far end of the property

Numerous mature saguaros grace the property, and with the proximity to the Picture Rock mountains, the views from every vantage point on the property are nothing short of magical.

Every detail is perfect
The Jaguar House is a place we will always remember. Sammy has carefully curated every detail of this space. As an interior designer myself, my partner and I like to stay in unique design forward spaces. This house is beautiful, comfortable, and has everything you could want or need. Both the interior and exterior is hospitable and inviting and we loved our stay here! The location is ideal for visiting Saguaro National Park, we were able to easily wake up and be there at sunrise without a lengthy drive to one of the most scenic loops of the park. We highly recommend a stay at Jaguar House.

hello!

My name is Sammy-Jane Hughes, the proud co-captain of this magical kingdom alongside my magnificent mama, Manon Bedard.

Why they chose this property

our backyard is a magnificent wonderland, none other than the world-famous Saguaros National Park. unobstructed views of the vast desert stretching before your very eyes, with a sprinkling of sparkling stars to keep you company at night. This heavenly oasis is the ultimate escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, a sanctuary where you can soak up the serenity and surrender to the enchantment of the wild.

What makes this property unique

First things first, we've got the holy grail of outdoor showers. Prepare to be blown away by our high-tech wonder, complete with a top-of-the-line, on-demand water heating system. And let's not forget the water pressure—it's like a mini power wash for your body, ensuring an invigorating shower experience.

Our property is like Fort Knox, but way cooler. It's fully gated, giving you the utmost privacy to frolic about in your own little world of tranquility.
