As you approach the property, you’re likely to see our neighborhood goats and across the street is the old train depot, which has been converted to a home. Two apple trees sit at the front of the property with a huge crepe myrtle in the center that brings beautiful pink blooms in the summer months.

Upon entering the home you’ll be welcomed with high ceilings and French doors that lead to the sitting room equipped with a decorative fireplace set in stone and a solid wood mantle. You’ll feel like you stepped back in time as you take in the original beadboard walls throughout the house, but you’ll have access to modern amenities such as a lighted, jetted jacuzzi and high-speed internet.

The downstairs master bedroom features a king size bed, blackout curtains, decorative fireplace, walk-in closet, and access to the rain shower, jacuzzi bath, and fireplace. The second downstairs bedroom features a queen size bed and black out curtains. Upstairs is a reading nook, play area, and a bathroom with a shower. The upstairs master features a Smart TV and a second master bathroom with a clawfoot tub and vanity original to the add-on. Bedroom number 4 has a queen bed and desk with a mountain view, while bedroom number 5 has two full beds, a desk, and a Smart TV.

Enjoy some time outdoors with plenty of seating on the front porch with views of the beautiful property and mountain. In the warmer months expect to see lots of butterflies and hummingbirds enjoying the butterfly gardens and rose bushes. On the back porch you will find a bar seating to enjoy an evening outside and neighbor's goats. A large firepit in the backyard is perfect for keeping warm on a cool evening.

Great stay with 3 young families
We had a great weekend stay with 3 families with young kids. The house was so nicely renovated, very comfortable and clean. The kids loved playing outside and seeing the goats. Easy 40 min drive into downtown Chattanooga.

Great stay away from the city
Overall, we met to meet up for a nice Easter break with my son who drove up from Pensacola. The place was great and provided more than enough room for everyone. The owners were very responsive to any questions and really made for a nice stay overall. The place was close enough to do some fun activities around Chattanooga, but not too close, which is a good thing. The drive over the mountain into the city as fantastic as well.

Spacious home and Peaceful area
Peaceful area and large home to have family be able to come and go. Normally we vacation and have to drive to all the surrounding areas to see family at their homes, which is exhausting. This made it easier for us to stay put in the house and have family come see us instead. Area is close enough to Chattanooga area that you can easily drive there if you are looking for that venue and then retreat back to the nice quiet vacation home. If you are looking to relax, it is ideal. Also close to nature and Foster Falls a short drive. Highly recommend and Hosts were attentive and helpful when I called them before and during the stay.

Perfect 1900 Farmhouse
Just what we needed! Plenty of room so early to bed folks could sleep while others stayed up! We went to the zoo for the Lantern Festival and chilled at the house. Super clean and nice! Already thinking about staying again!!

Our family has lived in Chattanooga for more than 13 years. We love the vibe of the city with all of the great restaurants, cafes, hiking, and biking. We're excited to welcome people to our beautiful city!

My husband and I own an online business and we usually work from home, however when our two kids are out of school we like to take our work on the road. We love to travel as a family. Our favorite place to travel is Costa Rica and we love traveling to Europe and Asia.

Why they chose this property

We've always dreamed of owning a historic home and from the moment we saw this home we knew we wanted to spend time here. We are thrilled to allow others to spend time in our beautiful home as well.

What makes this property unique

This house is really special. With its unique structure and history, it's really the perfect getaway. With lots of places to relax including an outdoor bar, jetted spa, and firepit, cornhole, disc golf, it's the perfect place to regenerate and make memories.
