Going to have to arrange a summer stay.

Just stayed for the weekend after some Birkie spectating on Friday, so it was all about the chill. And this place was great for that. It's a good winter stay (especially with the wood sauna), but with the beach, the location and the equipment provided, I'll need to go back for a summer visit soon.

Mid October Getaway

It was centrally located for outdoor adventures and day trips. We hiked Twin Falls and Lost Creek Falls. Close enough to do a full day excursion to Bayfield & Madeline Island. The fall colors were spectacular, for sure another week of color left. Wonderful accommodations with all the amenities. Sauna was a big hit for our group after a long day of hiking.

Girls Weekend to the Apple Festival

Four old college friends used the house to attend the Apple Festival. The place was very clean and comfortable. The well water smells bad, but I think that is true to most homes in this area. They provided plenty of drinking water. It rained a lot and was cold. Happy to say the sauna worked great!

Lovely property within view & sounds of the lake.

Nice access to lake across the road & a beautiful place to watch sunsets. Room for all family to stretch out, nice firepit out front & deck with grill off well- equipped kitchen. Surprise extras for smores & great contact with hosts!

Why they chose this property

This property is very unique and offers more than most places in the area. From the private beach on the ever changing shores of Lake Superior to the slow flowing peaceful river that runs along the edge of the property. In addition to the lake and river, this cozy, fully stocked, cabin sits on 8 acres which is great for hiking, cross country skiing or snow shoeing and has a wood burning sauna to warm up and relax after a day of outdoor adventure. The cabin allows for many different gathering areas. The living room area has a gas fireplace and the absolute coziest couch large enough for the entire crew. There is also a sitting area with large windows that face the front with a view of the lake, a great place to enjoy your morning coffee during the winter months and a large deck out back with a view of the river, a great place to enjoy your coffee outdoors in the warmer months. There is a deck out front and fire pit area with a view of the lake, a picnic table, plenty of outdoor chairs and a charcoal grill for a BBQ. The large yard is a great place for out door games and allows for plenty of room to run around. The private beach is great for barefoot walks in the sand, swimming in the lake and hunting for agates, sea glass and drift wood. The beach is also great for a picnic, sand castles and a fire watching the sunset! The nature here is incredible, with lots of birds, rabbits, an occasional wild turkey or two and the sound of coyotes at night off in the distance, not to mention the calming feature of hearing the waves of the lake.
