Owner never added my name to reservation & ruined vacation
After receiving confirmation from both the owner and VRB02 days prior to check in, I arrived and was told the owner cancel the reservation 2 Days prior.
I contacted the owner who acted like he didn't know what they were talking about. Then he said VRBO must have misunderstood him regarding something and said he had another place. He could book me but due to VRB o's policy of being unable to book day of I had to go to a separate part of town at. A red roof inn . I was on the phone with multiple calls for hours trying to sort this all out. At the end of the day the owner and the property Could not get My name added to the reservation. From being needing to reserve on a Sunday to Juneteenth no one from the owners group would respond. OWNER contacted the front desk to add me name and the front desk stated that was not policy to add my Name like that it had to go through some owner's group who never responded to help me. The language barrier on VRBO customer service is terrible. No one can understand what I was saying I could not understand them, and my entire vacation ended up being ruined due to finger pointing and back-and-forth and no one taking responsibility and trying to help me. a vacation that I booked through VRBO. When I couldn't get through. The owner began telling me I was harassing him when he was finger pointing at them and they were finger pointing at him. I will be seeking counsel to attempt legal recourse on this matter.
