Oasis in small town
This is a 1 room store front that has been tastefully transformed to a comfortable Oasis. Beautiful woodwork & a huge walk in shower. All the conveniences of home hostess is a great communicator. Located on Main street but you would never know it from the traffic. Trains run through all hours with the tracks 1/2 block away. After the 1st night we didn’t even hear them. Black Dog has a great following &very hospitable .

Cutest Place Ever, A++++
We really really enjoyed our stay at this unique Main Street inn! It had everything we could ever need, was clean and just awesome! Host was very communicative and fast response. We highly recommend! It was close (12mi) to SMORR for a Jeep jamboree we attended for 3 days! Restaurant across the street had breakfast and lunch options and great Mexican restaurant we walked to.

Nice small town
We stayed with our dogs for a weekend event in Spfd. The studio layout was perfect for us! We enjoyed the location, the park just a 2 minute drive, and the cafe right across the street. The back yard was nice and easy for the dogs and the kitchenette made these easier for us with dietary limitations. The only things that could have made it perfect would have been a fenced yard and a stove. We would stay again!

The owners of this property were amazing, they made me feel safe with being a single woman traveling to a different state. Their home was beautiful, had everything you would need, and honestly the most welcoming place I've ever been. The pet setup is amazing, they even have a number on their fridge for you if something was wrong with your pet while traveling. The home was amazing and the hosts were even better.

About the host

Host profile image
We live 7 miles from the location, and are always happy you hear from you. I take being a Host seriously, and I am always open to making sure your trip is all it can be.

Why they chose this property

Renewed storefront space. Unique, historical, modern.

Enjoy history and convince.

Cedar bar and newly refurbished kitchen space. Quality and unique at every turn. Bring your pet, the whole family is welcome. The park is close, the backyard (not fully fenced) is ample, and the small town Main Street begs for walks.

Relax in the luxurious custom tile shower with LED color changing lights. Watch TV from the bed, in this one room open lay out, relax on the leather couches for a while.

Bluetooth your phone into the TV sound bar and fill the open space with your music.

All new floor, all new plumbing, and all new custom tile bathroom.

The store front has been stripped down and redone to convert in to an easy escape, right off Main Street.

We've added a sound machine next to the bed. To drown out any environmental noises or to allow non-standard schedule sleepers a better chance at relaxation.

The store next door is open a limited amount weekly, there is a church, library and cafe and a community center across the street. During the week, most afternoons after school, the Community Center offers a drop in dinner / home work help (and games, and sometimes a craft) for anyone (drop by they'd love to see you).

The most traffic you will encounter is going to the post office down the street; and you may see or hear Amish buggies passing the front door. There is a local train about a block away, but that is generally the only environmental noise in this quiet small town

Modern comfort and quality in a historic setting.

Relax or work.

Backyard with lots of space for the kids (furry or other wise) to run. Backyard is private space. Partially fenced. The local park, with a walking trail is only .25 miles away too!

Visit family, work locally or have a simple relaxing break. Travel though, or stay a while. You will be refreshed.

What makes this property unique

The park 1/4 miles away is decorated, there is a playground and paved walking path. You do not have to cross any busy streets to get there, quiet little stroll down the road.

Local library is directly across the street and the local Post Office a few doors down.

Fordland has c-stores and a Dollar General.

Laundromat in Rogersville (next little town over). Apx 5 miles

Rogersville has McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell, and Sonic and a couple of pizza places, as well as a couple of chinses food places. Fast food or sit down.

There is a full grocery store in Rogersville, too.
