The Space:
Unwind on the comfortable sofa and stream your favorite shows on the 65" Insignia™ 4K UHD Smart Fire TV, featuring popular streaming platforms like Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN. Our authentic Mid Century wood-burning stove will keep you cozy, or you can wrap yourself in one of the extra throw blankets for ultimate relaxation.

The fully equipped kitchen boasts full-sized appliances (fridge, oven, stove, and microwave), as well as a blender, toaster, and Keurig Duo coffee maker. We provide an abundance of dishes, utensils, cookware, bakeware, and pantry basics such as oil, spices, and sugar for your convenience. As you’re making coffee or whipping up a meal, indulge in a front-row view of the Pacific Ocean and Windansea Beach from the kitchen window.

After a long day of exploring San Diego, you can retreat to the bedroom featuring a king-sized bed adorned with luxurious 100% cotton sheets, down feather pillows, and a down feather duvet. Watch the 42" Insignia™ 4K UHD Smart Fire TV or enjoy a restful sleep. The bedroom offers an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, while the bathroom off the living room provides a combination shower and bath. Both bathrooms are equipped with 100% cotton towels, hair dryers, and cruelty-free unscented toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

For your convenience, the home includes a front-loading washer and dryer, along with detergent, stain remover, and fabric softener.
Enjoy a meal at the outdoor dining set, which accommodates six people, and take in the refreshing salt air and witness breathtaking sunsets over the Pacific from your patio directly overlooking the shore.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to everything shown in the photos and more. The property is accessed by a smart lock and guests are sent the door code the morning of check-in.

The Neighborhood:
The arcing coastlines of La Jolla's natural coves give way to steep canyons and hillsides peppered with homes worth millions. The ideal Mediterranean climate, art galleries, elite shopping and renowned dining can't be beat!

Wake up before everyone and pick up pastries at Wayfarer Bread and some coffee from Birdrock Coffee Roasters. Stop by the beach on your walk home and if you're early enough, there's a good chance you'll see dolphins in the waves.

Getting Around:
The home comes with a tandem parking spot with room for two cars and street parking is free and plentiful.

Walk, ride bikes, electric scooters, or drive to explore La Jolla and San Diego's other neighborhoods.

Other Things to Note:
Please be aware this home is a duplex and is the 1st-floor unit, with another unit directly on top. At times, it may be possible to hear noise from the upstairs unit.

It's an older home. We've worked hard to cherish the history of the home and elevate it with a fresh new design. There are definitely some dated parts to it.

At this time, there is only street parking is often abundant.

The home does not have air conditioning and the central heating is currently inoperable. To keep guests comfortable, we have stocked each room with a space heater.

La Jolla Stay
The description of this home or should I say small home is adequate. There is no air conditioning and when we got there the sun faces the kitchen living room and there were only two fans in the home. It was very warm and when we let the property manager know they said they would try to get us another fan but never did.

Happy we found it, sad it's being torn down.
Location was top notch. Right across the street from the beach. We spent the most time on the front patio, but couldn't see the ocean because the hedges were too tall. I expect this was for privacy, but was a bummer not to be able to see the water. Our check in instructions were not adequate. There is more than one place to rent, and we couldn''t figure out if we were in the upstairs or downstairs unit. The key pad didn't work, and needs to be replaced. We were given access to a key, which helped a lot. We were over run with flies, as it appears the trash wasn't taken out by the previous occupant or the trash service. They did bring us fly traps, which helped. Overall, we loved the place. Very clean, lots of space. The biggest problem was with Nathan, I think he was the property manager. Either he's way too busy, or doesn't pay attention. I tried to extend our stay for two more days prior to our trip. He apparently didn't read the email thoroughly, and gave us one more day (at a substantially higher rate). Towards the end of our stay, I once again requested an extension, which he never bothered responding to. So we packed up and left. I later got an email from him, and I'm hoping it was a Siri text issue that got mis translated, and came across as extremely rude.

Beautiful location, outdated basement unit
Great spot right across the street from the beach. The listing doesn’t describe it as a basement unit. There is no AC or screens on the windows so flies were a big problem and it got uncomfortable at night with the windows closed. I understand the unit will be renovated in the fall but that doesn’t help me.

Property was great at the host responsive. The fact that the ocean is your front yard is undersold. It’s absolutely breathtaking. Would love to come back.
