This cabin is in a remote location. Wireless Internet is limited due to the connectivity of the provider, and there is little to no cell phone service. AWD or 4WD is required year-round.

Located in the private, gated community of Gateway Mountain, a 3,000-acre nature preserve, Lake Therapy provides ample space and convenient comforts to ensure the perfect getaway for family and friends. Enjoy the home's private dock on Lake George along with the hot tub, gas grill, game room, and fire pit during your stay!

Close to all that Western North Carolina has to offer in the way of attractions and activities, Lake Therapy will allow you to easily travel to town for entertainment or stay on the mountain to enjoy Gateway Mountain's exclusive amenities. As a guest in this secluded and scenic community, you'll have access to lush wooded forests, gorgeous waterfalls, and stunning mountaintop vistas along with two small lakes and a trout pond for catch-and-release fishing (no license required). This nature-filled haven is teeming with plantlife and wildlife that you can enjoy firsthand at your leisure.

Enjoyed it

The property was 5 stars. Clean and beautiful. The location was mixed - beautiful spot on the lake but what wasn't mentioned in the property description was the steepness of the gravel driveway. We got stuck multiple time and changed out plans so as not to leave the property on certain days. We finally got the hang of it (mostly). Would advise a 4WD. Communication with the management company was not fantastic as we had several unanswered emails. We finally got the answers via phone. In the end, we would stay here again, although we'd rent a better vehicle for the steep up and downs of the mountain.
