The cabin has two bedrooms, and one bathroom. Both bedrooms are spacious, and an open concept to include the common, kitchen, and dining areas. Multiple TVs all connected to Dish Network Satellite with plenty of channels to surf. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook up a delicious meal or maybe dinner on the outside charcoal grill.
There are several outdoor activities available nearby. In fact, during season, Macon County’s only 100% unsalted Gem Mine is located just down the hill from the cabin. You drive through the Gem Mine when coming to the cabin. Cherokee Ruby and Sapphire Mine is listed in the top 4 places to mine in the United States according to the International Gem Society. The cabin is surrounded by Scenic Mountain Views, Winding Roads, Hiking Trails, Waterfalls, Gem Mining, Historic Indian and Appalachian sites and culture and the Seasonal Leaf Changes. Additionally, Main Street in downtown Franklin has a variety of shops, plenty of restaurants and if antiquing is your thing, you’ve come to the right place.
Less than a thirty-minute drive, Cherokee, NC is a great cultural experience. Qualla Arts and Crafts including Cherokee masks, pottery, baskets, and jewelry can be seen and purchased here. Additionally, The Museum of the Cherokee Indian is open year-round. Lastly, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and Resort is always a fun place to press your luck, responsibly!!! Other things to do at the Casino and Resort include premier dining and shopping experiences.
