Have never experienced this

We stay at VRBO’s all the time. Every place we have stayed in has its own personality. We didn’t spend the night. Actually we arrived, walked in, spent 10 minutes, left. The first thing that you experience is a smell that is not pleasant. It is very strong and does not dissipate. Nothing has been updated in 30 years. Not for us.

Perfect get away

Reminds me of family lake trips growing up. Loved the hot tub and sauna. Fishing was lots of fun. Will definitely tell all my friends and will be planning a return trip. Loved this place.

Moonshine cabin

The property was clean and very enjoyable. The VRBO booking was confusing but i was able to work with property manager to correct billing issues

My husband and I moved to Athens Texas about 6 years ago. We feel very fortunate to have found this lovely piece of East Texas, Our neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. You are invited to visit our property and enjoy our lovely lake and shady trees

Why they chose this property

As a guest of Moonshine Hideaway you are free to enjoy our hidden treasure of a small lake, complete with fishing dock, and floating pontoon for swimming. Or try stand up paddle boarding for a little more adventure. Would you rather stay indoors. Our game room
has ping pong, billiards, 9 pin bowling, and darts. Betting is allowed!
Before ending the day, bathe in the outdoor shower and enjoy a dip and detox in the hot tub and sauna. What could be better than that!?

What makes this property unique

The Moonshine cabin, my house , the Spa Cabana, and the game room are located on the same one acre piece of property, all of which is surrounded by chain link fencing. You will have the cabin to yourselves. The game room and Spa Cabana belong to and are used by my family however , when you are a guest, we will refrain from using either of them so that you can have exclusive use of these amenities.
