The house was missing some amenities listed on the property. We have small children so we always book properties with a washer and dryer. This property had that listed but when we arrived there was brighter a washer or dryer. There was plenty of sleeping space and the couch was nice but overall the house was missing the touches that would make it a ‘home’. There were no hand towels in the kitchen, only on trash bag, no foil, and a complete lack of linens for the number of guests the house can sleep. This property has potential but needs some touching up and to be stocked a little better. A roll of foil, some hand towels/over mits, and replaced light bulbs would cost $30 and make a huge difference for guests.

Not the house I stayed in

Apparently the house I booked was doubled book. So I was given a different house. According to the host, it was an upgrade. Well there were stairs everywhere. My mother who is 78 was with us and has a hard time with stairs. Also ants everywhere. On the kitchen counter, in the living room and in the bedrooms. Also the bedrooms upstairs were all on the same remote control circuit for the ceiling fans and lights. If you turned the light off in one bedroom, it would come on in another. It was crazy. I had to sleep one night with my light on all night so my daughter had a dark room. Same thing with the ceiling fans. What a nightmare. Also there was an apartment attached to the house. The person in the apartment turned off the hot water because apparently he gets the water bill and he didn’t want it to be high because we were there. We wasted a whole day of our vacation to wait for the maintenance man to come and then a plumber to resolve the issue. No courtesy’s we’re extending to us by the host for this lost day. He said he accommodated us already with the bigger house. Which, btw, I did not ask for and was not good for my mom. My mother was there and she had to take 2 cold showers before the situation was resolved. Lastly the person in the apartment parked directly in front of the sidewalk so we had to walk around on stones. Very hard to pull luggage on and very unsteady for my mother.
