About this property

Our cozy yet spacious chalet in Wintergreen Resort is less than 1 mile to main ski lodge, with 3 spacious suites plus a sleeping loft, hot tub, fire pit, pool table, chef's kitchen plus so many other unique features not found anywhere else on the mountain. Roomy enough for 2-3 families or a group of friends to gather for that unforgettable vacation! Private and peaceful, yet only 4 minutes to the main ski lodge at Mountain Inn where you can enjoy a cup of Starbuck's at the coffee shop or dine at several fabulous restaurants. Pool table, ping pong table topper, 50” Smart TV, air hockey, game table and chairs in heated/cooled detached garage game room, great for those late night pool tournaments or card games, without disturbing those sleeping in the main cabin. Nearby hiking, waterfalls, breweries, & great restaurants. After a day of adventures, come home and gather around the fire pit or soak in the hot tub on the large private deck.

One small, well behaved dog considered on a case by case basis with nonrefundable pet fee and agreement to certain pet rules.

Easy main level access with only a few steps down from parking area with 2 queen beds and walk-in tile shower on the main level.

New game room in the detached heated/cooled garage has a Brunswick pool table (w/ ping pong option), 50" smart TV, air hockey, sofa, recliner, table and chairs, and more, perfect to watch the big game or have late night pool tournaments without disturbing those sleeping in the main cabin.

Romantic and spacious upstairs master bedroom with log bed with full bath and adjacent sleeping loft with twin daybed and extra twin trundle underneath.

Two queen beds in the main level bedroom that has an adjacent bathroom featuring a gorgeous tiled walk-in shower.

Twin over full bunkbeds and twin over twin bunkbeds down a few steps with its own full bathroom and door to back deck.

Living room has new queen memory foam sleeper sofa.

Hot tub on back deck, available most of the year depending on weather.

Propane fire pit on back deck.

This home near the Blue Ridge Parkway has it all!

Woke up to coffee on the back deck enjoying the serenity of the great outdoors. Explored the many nearby attractions in nature (multiple hikes to waterfalls and majestic views, lake swims, pool time, etc) during the day. Easily made meals for our large group in the well-equipped and beautiful kitchen. The house is immaculate, but also stocked with something for everyone…games for all ages, TVs in every room, hot tub for winding down, rockers, outside fire pit, so many cozy blankets and fun nooks to discover throughout. Even in summer (I imagine the best time is during snow ski weather!) there was so much to do and the weather was beyond pleasant. Oh, and we saw a small black bear amble right past the deck through the woods while we were grilling dinner! And multiple baby deer with their mama in the woods too. It’s just so peaceful there. Our host, Tania, made check-in a breeze, checked on us during our stay and responded quickly when we had a couple of questions. She really went out of her way to make sure we were enjoying our time at their home. Anything we forgot or wanted to grab after arriving was easily found at the little market just a few minutes away by car. They have some great edible/drinkable finds in that market! The Moose Lodge in Wintergreen is a great place to gather with friends! We can’t wait to visit again. Thanks again, Tania

Hi, I'm Tania. Although my husband, Greg, and I call Wilmington, NC home, we have always loved getting away to the NC and Virginia mountains. We and our 4 children love many of the outdoor activities the high country offers such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, tubing, hiking, and golfing. Each property has a special place in our hearts. Sugar Mountain holds a special memory for us, as we became engaged over 30 years ago on Calloway Peak at Grandfather Mt, and our 4th child, Calloway, reminds us every day. Our children learned to ski and snowboard at an early age, during our annual trips to Wintergreen Resort. And Maggie Valley with nearby Cherokee were always a family favorite. We are blessed by God to have had the opportunity to buy properties that hold special memories for our family, and it makes us so happy to be able to share them with you, so that you can create memories with your families and friends! For beach lovers, we also enjoy hosting guests at our guest cottage in Wilmington near Wrightsville Beach. Whether in the mountains or at the beach, we try to make all our properties a clean and relaxing place of refuge where you can enjoy spending time with the ones you love!
