It's a great location for relaxing and exploring, with the Sugar Ski & Country Club (half a mile), Sugar Mountain Resort (three miles), the public golf course (three miles), Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster (three miles), Grandfather Mountain State Park (nine miles), and a number of excellent wineries close by.
