Enjoy all the town of Elkin, North Carolina, and the surrounding areas, have to offer from the comfort of this two bedroom, one bathroom apartment that is located within walking distance of Main Street. The space provides all of the amenities you expect and more including enclosed yard space for pets, Wi-Fi, streaming services, a full kitchen with dishwasher, and free use of laundry units. This garage apartment is located on the same property as the host's private residence but is a separate and private unit with it's own parking. The apartment has a fenced in area for pets to be secure - there is no extra fee for guests with pets but we do appreciate being provided the number and size of dogs coming to stay. The master bedroom offers a queen size bed while the second room has a full-size bed. The kitchen is well stocked with spices, coffee, and cookware; and also has a roll-away kitchen island and bar stools. The living room provides entertainment through a smart tv equipped with a Roku streaming device and the hosts provide access to Netflix and HBO Max. Guests can also use the Roku device to log into any other subscriptions they may have. There are stairs from the ground level driveway to access and enter the apartment. A shared propane/charcoal grill is available to use as well as a large lounge area and wood-burning chiminea on the deck. A short walk away, you will find the Elkin Farmer's Market, restaurants, antique shops, plenty of bars and restaurants, and even a launch point for kayaking the Yadkin River! Nice location

Great place. Cozy and photos were accurate. Great location to downtown Elkin area (walking distance) but not so close where too loud to sleep. Hosts were very communicative and had no issues with the stay.

We are from all over the place but we most recently Charlotte, NC home until the end of 2021. After tiring of the city life, we purchased a property in Traphill, NC where Freedom Grove Lodging is now located. We operate two log cabin rentals and a glampsite on that property, but eventually, our growing family needed a large space. That took us down the road to Elkin where we stumbled on an opportunity to expand our rental opportunities and offer the apartment within walking distance of downtown.

Why they chose this property

Elkin offers the ability to be surrounded by wonderful neighbors but still retain the feel of the country. The historic district our neighborhood is located within has it's history dating back to the 19th century, and it's neat to see that blend with the heart of downtown Elkin as a modern touch moves in.

What makes this property unique

We are located just outside of the new Elkin social district and walking distance from many of the locations that make Elkin a fun place to stroll around. Within a short walk, you can find yourself picking up dinner at the farmer's market, catching a live show at Reeves Theater, enjoying a tasty brew at Angry Troll Brewery, or order brunch at Southern on Main.
