Hidden gem
Beautiful location and cabin for a vacation. In addition to an amazing view the home is newly renovated, comfortable and roomy. All the amenities you could ask for including a wood burning stove stocked with wood. Centrally located and remote enough to enjoy the quiet of the mountains. The hosts are friendly and attentive. Our family will be back.

Great spot for a family getaway!!
The view was amazing! Two stories of windows looking right up the Stanislaus River valley. The location was perfect. It’s just off the highway but back far enough that it’s completely secluded. We didn’t do the walk, but it is definitely walking distance to the Red Apple to pickup some breakfast goods (we drove! - 2 minutes). It is just North of Murphys and South of Arnold so easy access to both towns. The house was well stocked; coffee, games and wood for the stove. New appliances and plenty of cookware etc. We dined in 2 out of 3 nights and had no problems whipping up dinner. The bathrooms were huge (also all new fixtures and appliances), heated floors definitely took the mountain chill off of things. I’m a huge fan of wood stoves and went through quite a bit of wood during the stay. The stove got the two upstairs bedrooms toasty for the night and kept the common area really warm as well. Even Wiley., our 14 yo Westie had a great time. Dog bed near the wood stove was his home for the entire stay. There are plenty of winter activities in the surrounding area but from some quick research, summer seems to be a great time there too. We WILL be booking this location again this summer. Greg.
