About this property

The Blue Spruce House - Close to Standley Lake, Denver, Boulder

The house is positioned on a sunny and spacious corner lot. The house features a large elevated deck that overlooks the neighborhood with sweeping views to the south and three large pine trees that provide a wonderful connection to nature year-round. The house is frequently visited by an abundance of wildlife that live in the nearby open space. There are almost always bunny rabbits, and if you look up you may see owls, falcons, and even bald eagles from the nearby nesting area.

We recently renovated this house with new carpet and wood flooring, as well as new bathroom fixtures, appliances, and furniture. The space offers two queen beds on the top floor overlooking the front yard with beautiful filtered light from the ash tree. The main bedroom with a 3/4 bath attached is also located on the top floor and overlooks the backyard with generous views to the south.

BEDROOMS
There are four bedrooms, each with a Zinus GreenTea Memory Foam mattress, nightstand, lamps, and digital alarm clocks/sound machines. The rooms have also been retrofitted with USB outlets to easily charge your devices without needing to hunt for your USB charging brick.

Two queen bedrooms and the main bedroom (king) are positioned a half level up from the living room providing privacy and seclusion away from the rest of the house. The fourth bedroom (king bed) is located on the garden level and features an attached half-bath and laundry room with a new large capacity, high-efficiency washer and dryer.

BATHROOMS
There is a full bath with updated vanity and fixtures in the hallway near the two queen bedrooms. The master bedroom (king) has an attached bathroom that has an updated vanity with a sink, toilet, and shower. The garden level bedroom downstairs (king) has an attached half bathroom with toilet, wash sink, washing machine and dryer.

LIVING ROOM
The vaulted ceilings, south-facing oversized window, and patio French doors offer abundant natural light into this large, open space, which is great for work, reading, or studying. Watch a show or movie on the 65" 4K Roku TV, which allows you to easily connect to your personal streaming services.

KITCHEN
There are all new stainless steel appliances in this kitchen with plenty of cabinet and refrigerator space to stock with food from the nearby grocery store. The kitchen has loads of natural light from the two corner windows above the sink. A coffee bar with complimentary coffee and tea features an OXO 12-cup coffee maker that allows you to customize the number of coffee cups you need to meet your group's needs.

DINING ROOM
There is an extendable dining room table to seat 6 guests next to a large sliding door that opens to the side yard and has views of the mature pine trees on the property.

DEDICATED WORKSPACE
We have set up a beautiful dedicated workspace for you to work from. It boasts a hardwood desk with tons of ambient light from the adjacent windows and patio doors.

DECK / YARD
The French doors on the back of the house open to an oversized deck that was also recently renovated. The deck has plenty of room to spread out and enjoy dinner under the Colorado stars or to watch the bald eagles return to their nesting grounds nearby. There is a table and seating for 6 on the patio. The large front and backyard are perfect for enjoying a game of cornhole (a beanbag set is provided for guest use). There is also a BBQ grill in the back that is available for guest use.

TRAILS
One of our favorite features of this property is its proximity to 50+ miles of trails through open space that connects Westminster to the Rocky Mountain Greenway trail system, the 36 Highway Bike Commuter path, and even Standley Lake. The trail runs along the Big Dry Creek (don't be fooled by the name - the creek has water flowing!) which provides nice scenery while jogging. Ride a bike up to Standley Lake where you can rent a stand-up paddle board or kayak for the day. Or go for a walk on the trail after a snowfall looking for birds and wildlife that live in the open space year-round. The endless trail system will even allow you to commute to Boulder by bike without ever riding in traffic. Don't worry about packing your bike - you can borrow one of the two bikes we have provided for guest use! If you have kids in your group, make sure to take a walk to the nearby Westbrook Park which has large soccer fields, a modern playground structure, picnic tables, tennis court, basketball court, softball field, and hockey/in-line skating rink.

PARKING
The house offers a two-car garage and a large driveway that can fit up to four vehicles if needed. However, because of the narrow streets in the cul-de-sac, we don't allow street parking in front of the house.

Located on a river, this vacation home is in West Westminster, a neighborhood in Westminster. Union Station and 16th Street Mall are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's popular attractions can visit Water World and Denver Zoo. Denver's Downtown Aquarium and Elitch Gardens Theme Park are not to be missed. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

The Blue Spruce House met all our needs and more! Our host, Jesse was great at communicating and responded instantly to our questions. The house was clean, spacious and well equipped. Loved the outside deck! Well stocked kitchen, super comfy beds, nice linens and towels. Nice neighborhood. Would happily stay there again!
