"Peters Hill Guest Cottage is a perfectly lovely cottage. Our family of four (including two teenagers) stayed here for five nights in July/August. We cannot praise the experience highly enough! It is simply, but beautifully appointed, very clean, and supremely comfortable. We really lacked for nothing!

The owners live onsite and are perfectly charming—available without being intrusive, and with a knack for the little touches that make a difference. We loved sleeping with the windows open every night, to enjoy the cool night air and the peaceful, wooded surroundings. Blue Hill is a quintessential Maine town, right by the water with local potters, good food, and a community theater, but without the crowds of Bar Harbor. We hated to leave!" —Guest, Sharon M.

Peter's Hill Guest Cottage is a two bedroom guest cottage within 1/2 mile walking distance to the quintessential Maine coastal village of Blue Hill! It is also less than 1/2 mile to Peters Cove, a tidal swimming cove, and a three-minute drive to the hiking trails of Blue Hill Mountain.

The Cottage is set off from the main house, in a private setting on top of Peters Hill above Blue Hill Harbor. It has Direct TV, and is completely wireless.

Lovely cottage

Well supplied with everything to spend a long stay. The area had trails to walk without driving and a few very hikes close by.

Simply the Best VRBO experience!

There is a very good reason that this location receives consistent 5 star ratings. It is a beautifully decorated, well-designed cottage that it is in a wonderful location. The amazing hosts treat their guests so extremely well that guests will regret having to leave. I can't imagine ever having nicer, better hosts.

Private Retreat

My daughter, her partner and I enjoyed a week at Peter’s Hill Guest Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable, nicely decorated, well equipped, and well maintained. It’s a short walk to Blue Hill and easily accessible to other areas (Ellsworth, Acadia, Deer Isle, etc.), yet the setting is peaceful and private. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside and watching (and listening to) the many birds that came to the feeders. We also appreciated the attention to/ opportunity to compost and recycle.

The cottage is set off from our main house, on the top of Peters Hill above Blue Hill Harbor, within walking distance to Blue Hill village.
