Great location, beautiful home

We enjoyed our month at this property. The location is amazing, having dedicated parking behind the house was really convenient. We would definitely stay there again.

Originally from Seattle, I moved to the East Coast to travel and explore, and to be closer to family. Love riding my Harley, spending time with my grandkids, travelling and making memories.

Why they chose this property

I live in Staunton, but the first time I came to Virginia I thought to myself, I'd really like to live here. In following trips I completely felt the same way, so when my son moved to Richmond, I started thinking about ways I could get myself over here too. I love the Fan, the dense urban residential feeling, where you can walk anywhere and there are so many places to go.

What makes this property unique

I chose my house, which had been abandoned and needed a lot of work, because I could see the potential, and loved the idea of being able to bring it back to life with my tastes, as it was basically a blank canvas. I let me creativity flow in ways I've never done in my own homes, which with four kids were never truly mine and mine alone. I've enjoyed decorating with a bent towards maximalist style and dark academia, but that's not entirely conveyed through the whole house. However, the whole house is decorated with bold colors, themes, and newer items mixed with antiques for some fun and quirky atmospheres. I truly enjoy this home and hope you will enjoy it and be comfortable in your home while staying here too.
