Spring Break Visit

We visited on our Spring Break and enjoyed the features of the property and the location to attractions. Pool was excellent and having it heated was well worth the added expense. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. We were very pleased with our time at the house.

Review of Palmside Joy

The Vacasa Property Manager,Christine was excellent. She was quick in responding to our questions and requests. We had a number of issues when we arrived and throughout our 23 day stay. Here’s the list 1. The kitchen was equipped for only two guests. Christine was great to order dishes, cereal bowls, cutlery, pots and pans, a food blender, wine glasses and drinking glasses. We unpacked and washed all of these items before we used them, tore down boxes and recycled them. This wasn’t really what we were expecting to do on our vacation. 2. The guest toilet plugged, my husband plunged it. The next time it was flushed it overflowed onto the floor. Again, Christine, our Property Manager, was excellent in calling a plumber to replace parts of the toilet. Plunging toilets and scrubbing floors is not something you expect to do on a holiday. 3. The pool was a constant issue and annoyance. The pool was not clean because the pump leaked majorly and had to be repaired 3 or 4 times. Therefore with no jets running it wasn’t being heated either. The pool screen is torn ( one part was fixed ) and the metal bars on the lanai are covered in green moss. To Vacasa’s credit, they have refunded most of the pool heat charge. We had to pull the barbecue out of the garage and fill the propane tank at our cost. This property has not matched our previous experience with staying at rental properties. Again, Christine, the Property Manager was excellent in dealing with us.

A little frustrated

The overall location of the proprty is in a gated community, which is very quiet. Things I wasnt a fan of: - ants on the counter - had to raid the kitchen every day. - pool pump system didnt work - called several times to have someone look at it. One lady came to video the pool and then didnt come back. Asked for compensation and didnt receive it. The pump sysem had a leak and the prime on the pump wouldnt stay so therefore the pump wouldnt kick in when it was supposed to according to the timer. - we had to purchase our own pool skimmer because customer service wouldnt bring one. And we had to leave it because we couldnt fly it home. - also requested pool heat when we booked it an never received it. - the property was dirty when we arrived but the cleanijg ataff came and cleaned it where it needed to be done. Overall a bit frustrated with the customer service on the property.
