Safety Issues- unstationary handrail & very slippery awkward step heighth of top step

Sat. morning (4/2/24) as I was entering the pool,I had a pretty hard fall. I was being careful but when I stepped down on the first step while trying to hold the handrail, the first step was very slippery and my feet flew out from under me and the handrail also moved at the same time. I hit my right arm and back. I was immediately in a lot of pain, had a scrape on my right upper arm near my elbow and a scrape mid back on the right side. I had an area on my upper right arm that started to swell and my arm & my back were in a lot of pain so I ended up going to get an X-ray. I don’t think i would have fallen had the top step not been slippery and the handrail been stationary instead of movable. The top step wasn’t the same size as the other steps & was painted a slightly different color and the handrail moved rather than being fixed stationary. It appeared that maybe the top step might have been added after the pool had been installed since it was a different size & the paint didn’t match. I am leaving this review because I have contacted the host & and I think it is important that he makes improvements to these issues so someone else doesn’t get hurt in the future. The host has not replied to my email. I have photos & a video to support my claim to the safety issues and my injuries and hope that at least this review might keep others safe if the host chooses to ignore these issues instead of making the improvements.

Absolutely gorgeous home

My son and I needed a place to stay while we accompanied my parents on a trip to the area. We had no idea how beautiful this home would be. The pictures are pretty, but the home itself is absolutely gorgeous in person. It is new and clean. Everything we needed for our 5 days stay was east to find and the host was east to contact with questions. We would 100% book this property again.

Great Place For Family Get-Together

Something for everyone. The layout of the cabin gives everyone as much privacy or togetherness as desired. Nicely equipped kitchen had everything we needed!
