WELCOME to the Cherokee Trace Train Car located on the Glaze Ranch in Gilmer, Texas. This unique vintage space is filled with opportunity for stellar memories. Come relax on our Herford ranch for the ultimate "glamping" experience! We have a hot tub and a new covered pavillion that sits right outside your personal train car to watch the stars at night or just relax the stresses of the day away. We cannot wait to host you.

Such a neat place

The husband and I always take a yearly retreat in January to review our year and dream about the new year together. We always look for a small quaint town and an out of ordinary stay. We go both with our stay here. Such a neat place to get away!

Weekend off the track

Cozy and whimsical, we loved our weekend in the train car. The location gave us a chance to enjoy sunsets in the pasture, and the traincar had everything we needed close at hand.

Peaceful Night’s Rest

Super cute train car! My husband and I stayed here while attending a local event. It met all of our needs. The bed was comfy, there was a coffee maker with coffee and a cute little fridge to store our waters and extra snacks. We plan on revisiting this train car, since it is so close to where we drive down to East Texas for events and family visits. We did not watch the TV really, but the books on the coffee table kept us entertained as well as the game board and the telescope for stargazing. We loved all the cows!
