About this property

Remote cabin for newlyweds or hunters. Wildlife, solitude, stillness abound.

Ever get to listen to Prairie Dogs chatter? The sound of nature lives here, no urban white noise. Immerse yourself in the splendor of our remote and oh so cozy cabin in the northeastern foothills of WY. Newly constructed "his rustic - her cozy"... near BLM for the hiker/hunter. Roads off of HWY 59 are shale gravel and dusty, 4WD/AWD is highly recommended . We have had early, mild, ultra frigid or heavy snow winters, hail and high winds, be prepared for everything. The small but mighty wood burning stove is the main source of heat, baseboard heaters where needed. Blackout curtains for the perfect nap. No hunting on private lands. This is where the local pronghorn and mulies birth their babies every year. Welcome in the quiet.

Not long enough of a stay
Cozy place in a beautiful location. Lots of wide-open spaces, and lots of wildlife to see. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They had everything you could need. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Sublime silence
A glorious silent and comfortable private cabin. It was a bit hard to reach, but that is just what we wanted in order to write, think, and pray. The host and hostess were very accomoodating to our requests. We hope to return to Rustic Hideaway.

What makes this property unique

A true homestead established in 2005. Bill hand built the main house, garage/shop, henhouse, and cabin over the years. He has done an amazing job with each structure. A fleet mechanic by trade, he has more than fulfilled our dreams. Hopefully he can retire now, he has so deserves it. The cabin design, small and functional, is a mix of rough and tough for him and fancy farmhouse chic for her, a pinch of Green Acres! We adore Wyoming and the people here. They grow up strong and unafraid of hard work, love their land, with family ties that go back for generations.
